Wander Into Terminus Again For Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies

Call Of Duty

The next wave of Zombies in Call Of Duty is on the way with a new cinematic for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6

Just as we have had for pretty much all of the modern titles in the line, Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 is taking us back into the story of the Zombies and expanding that even more. Even if it felt as if it had hit a solid ending many times before now, Treyarch is diving us all back into the story of the Dark Aether and we have a new look at it all. Just in time for Activision to hype up this Call Of Duty title before the October 25th release on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. As long as this part of the game is what keeps you coming back and not just the generic multiplayer that seems to do it for everyone else. Even if it should be the story mode that does it more, but I digress…

The following trailer for this version of Call Of Duty Zombies gives us a fun cinematic look at what we might expect to see in the game. Even if it does not show any real zombies and only name-drops the main villain again. A weird way to go when hyping it all up, but most players of Call Of Duty will not need more than just that to get all creamed up for the game. However, we do have a look at a few of the new and returning characters coming for this part of the story that we can force ourselves through. Along with all of that, we get a nice sample of the voices that will be bringing them all to life in the experience. As long as you can actually survive the gameplay long enough to get through each of the story beats. Have a look and see what is on the way for the game and maybe we will have a true ending to it all very soon too.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 — Zombies Terminus Cinematic

After two years of battling undead outbreaks across the globe during the Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 timeline, the CIA-led Requiem team finally succeeded in closing the last remaining dimensional portal, banishing its denizens back to the nightmarish hellscape known as the Dark Aether.

However, the team’s success came at a heavy price. Agent Samantha Maxis sacrificed herself to essentially seal this twisted dimension from the inside. Worse was to follow, as Requiem’s senior staff members were unceremoniously arrested on the orders of the Project Director—finally revealed to be none other than Edward Richtofen.

Taking place over half a decade later, Black Ops 6 Zombies continues the Dark Aether storyline, exploring the fortunes of key characters while also delving further into Richtofen’s motivations and goals.

During the intervening years, former Requiem staff—Grigori Weaver, Mackenzie “Mac” Carver, Elizabeth Grey, Oskar Strauss, and Stoney Maddox (better known by his callsign, Raptor One)—have been incarcerated at an outpost known as Terminus, a mysterious garrison located in the Philippine Sea.

After being imprisoned for over five years, these characters have undergone significant mental and physical changes.

I think I say it each time we get a new Call Of Duty title and an expansion to the Zombies story, but I wish they would make this a specific campaign and not the version of the game we have had so many times already. The gameplay can be fun for some, they would not keep doing it if it was not, but some of us want to experience the story without all of the extra things. Why can we not just have the normal mode for those players and then a story mode where it plays more like the campaign in Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 so everyone else who wants to play it solo can get the experience? Not just by watching the videos online later to get the story. The publishers and developers are not getting the money in that aspect. Then again, I might just be the minority in all of that and there would be no real reason to placate just for one player… I guess…

Are you fully up on the Zombies story in Call Of Duty or do you need refreshers all the time for this one? Is it weird to try to build hype without showing any of the zombies or that actual villain of the story beyond a name? Would you also like to just play the story as one would in a normal campaign or is the different gameplay truly what makes this mode shine? Shoot up the comment section with all of those thoughts out there and then feel free to discuss it all. We will have a lot more for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 as we get closer to the release, so please keep on checking back in here for all of those updates and the many others still to come.
