By Grit Alone Is Taking Us Deep Into The Bermuda Triangle Of Space

By Grit Alone

A new and dark VR title, By Grit Alone, is looking to take us into a world where we will only survive By Grit Alone

Those looking for a new and terrifying VR title to experience might want to start to take note of By Grit Alone. This would be a title that Crooks Peak is working on for the Meta Quest 2 and 3, if you happen to have the hardware to experience it all. An experience that sounds like it will be a mix of many fun IPs we have had in the horror and sci-fi realms over the decades. Something to also help us get ready for the spooky season as By Grit Alone is setting up a September launch for the game. Let us see what might be on the way for this one as long as we are not going to see any big delays out there.

That sounds like a bit of a great tease to have but also a fun one when backed up by the fact that By Grit Alone will have some of the minds from Resident Evil 8 and Doctor Who working on this title too. All of which sounds as if that would be truly terrifying if they are able to blend it all well, but something that the following footage does not truly show off. Just like other titles out there, By Grit Alone has mostly a live-action trailer to make this announcement even if the game is supposed to launch in a few months. There is a bit of gameplay mixed in, but it is hard to tell how well the game is going to look and function based on that alone. Have a look and see what is being teased more than announced here.

By Grit Alone — Reveal

Coming to Meta Quest 2 and 3 in September 2024, By Grit Alone is an intense single-player VR action horror shooter that plunges players into the terrifying void of space where ancient derelict starships and ravenous aliens create a chilling fight for survival.

By Grit Alone is not just a game but a harrowing experience of frantic combat and deep sci-fi lore. Trapped in the so-called “Bermuda Triangle” of space, players must navigate through deathtrap wreckages, rogue AIs, and hard vacuum—all while battling relentless alien swarms. The unique sci-fi anthology narrative features twisted tales from renowned writers, including talents behind Dead Space, Resident Evil 8, and Doctor Who.

Key Features:

  • Frantic Combat: Prepare for up-close and personal battles with aliens attacking from all directions - if the swarm doesn’t take you, the deathtrap wreckages, rogue AIs, or hard vacuum will. With a focus on constant action and tension, players wield a powerful adaptive shotgun to survive unending alien assaults.
  • Sci-Fi Anthology Narrative: Each derelict starship presents a unique story crafted by top writers like Antony Johnston (Dead Space, Resident Evil 8) and Emma Beeby (Doctor Who, Judge Dredd). Expect dark, brutal, and weird tales of cannibalism, cults, sentient biofuel, and more.
  • Immersive VR Experience: Designed exclusively for VR, the game offers seamless transitions and continuous gameplay without loading screens. Fly between ships, dodge asteroids, and navigate treacherous environments, all while being immersed in the sounds and sights of this cosmic nightmare.
  • PEGI 16 Rating: This game is intended for mature audiences due to its intense violence and cosmic horror themes.
