God Of War: Ragnarök Will Bring Another End To The PC Very Soon

God Of War

The PC release of God Of War: Ragnarök has been announced to allow more to see how this God Of War title ends

The end is on the way for PC gamers with the full announcement that God Of War: Ragnarök will be heading out there soon. How soon? Well, it looks like Jetpack Interactive is looking to bring this title from Santa Monica Studio over there on September 19th, 2024. Okay, so not soon enough for many out there, but for those who opted to play God Of War (2018) on the PC instead of the PS4 or PS5, that does mean you will have some light at the end of the tunnel for when you can expect to play this epic ending to the Nordic world. You may commence with some of that cheering that I know you have been holding onto up to now.

In addition to the core game of God Of War: Ragnarök making its way over, it will also bring with it the Valhalla DLC that shocked everyone when it came out. Also, a lot of the usual upgrades that can make it over to the PC that many won't even think about using in the first place. Like different video quality settings, frame rate options, and the chance to go ultra-wide with that screen. Nothing that will truly make your God Of War experience all that much better than what many have already seen, but it is something. We all know it is all about modding in other things to the game when it all boils down anyway.

God Of War: Ragnarök — PC Announcement

The Norse Saga Continues!

From Santa Monica Studio and brought to PC in partnership with Jetpack Interactive comes God Of War: Ragnarök, an epic and heartfelt journey that follows Kratos and Atreus as they struggle with holding on and letting go.

All editions also include access to the God Of War: Ragnarök - Valhalla DLC for no additional cost!

I do have to say that I am curious as to why God Of War: Ragnarök will require a PSN account for the PC version of the game. Just as we saw with other games, like Helldivers, it is going to get some pushback. Most likely a lot more pushback from the PC gaming community as this is a single-player game that should not require any connection to the PSN. Unless this is their way of doing copyright checks for the game. Then again, I never had that when I was playing on the PS5, so it is an odd thing to require for God Of War: Ragnarök. Optional, sure, but even the Valhalla DLC did not add anything that would require an "always on" connection. We will have to see how this all pans out for them once again…

Did you play God Of War (2018) on the PC and had to wait until this version came out to see how the story ends? Do you think that we will see more of the weird mods and character swaps coming out shortly after launch? Why do you think there is the PSN requirement and how bad will that backfire on Sony for forcing it to be in the game? Take a swing at all of that discussion down in the comments and let your voice be heard. As more for God Of War: Ragnarök comes out, or for the IP in general, we will share all of that here. Just be sure to keep on checking back for all of those updates and the many more to come.
