Dying Light
The difficulty of Dying Light 2 has been ramped up with a new nightmare mode launched out for Dying Light 2
More of the nightmares are on the way to us who are still free-running in the world of Dying Light 2. The latest update that Techland has been working on is finally here and we can head out into the game and give it all a try. As long as you are up to the task of the new Nightmare Mode Dying Light 2 that will add even more difficulty to the game and a lot of other options that will help to make you the best at surviving in this new world. All of that and offer up a few more rewards to show off that you have been able to make it through the night one more time and in the worst way imaginable for the IP. Let us dig in.
This new mode for Dying Light 2 will be shaking things up when it comes to some of the core gameplay elements. The stamina management being one the aspects will be one of the bigger ones, where we will have to pay much closer attention to how we run, jump, slide, and glide in the world. It made it even harder with fewer elements on the HUD to give us that data. Then there is the flashlight that will start to flicker if used too long so we have less information in the world too. On top of all of that, the infected in Dying Light 2 are going to be harder to deal with in general and most likely leave us all running for the hills more than facing them down.
Dying Light 2 — Nightmare Mode
The new, fan-requested feature is aimed at players who want to get completely immersed in the game.
Techland introduces the Nightmare Mode Update for Dying Light 2, which adds the hardest and most immersive difficulty yet and an array of additional elements. The main feature has been widely requested by the community, and it invites the players to rely on tactics and strategic management of resources in order to survive in the post-apocalyptic world.
The new difficulty introduces changes to stamina management, called the Tactical Stamina system, limited HUD options for better immersion, and a flickering flashlight that goes out when used for too long. These and other additions serve to heighten the atmosphere of horror and refresh the experience for even the most discerning players. Those who manage to complete the game on this highest difficulty will be rewarded with the memorable Waltz Outfit.
The Nightmare Mode Update adds more features than just the new difficulty – such as general adjustments to the Infected and night experience. What is more, co-op players will be glad to hear they will now be able to take on the Community Maps with up to three friends. Archers will get reworked power shot mechanics. And personalization connoisseurs will have the opportunity to change the appearance of the Grappling Hook – don’t miss the free skin available on Pilgrim Outpost!
Is this the mode you have been waiting for in Dying Light 2 or have you had a hard enough time with the basic modes? How different will the stamina mechanism be in the mode and will it be more than draining faster than normal? How long until someone is able to speedrun through the game on this mode with nothing but their clothes on their backs? Head into the comments to let us have those thoughts and then discuss it all. If there is more for Dying Light 2, we will share it all here for you, so be sure to keep on coming back for all of that. Things are always changing here and you never know what the next update will hold.
