Silent Breath
The Early Access date for Silent Breath is coming soon with us diving into what Silent Breath has before the end of the week
Get ready to hold your breath a bit, or at least go about it all quietly, with Silent Breath heading out to an Early Access very soon. How soon? Well, it looks like Exodiac Studios is aiming to drop that on the PC as of April 5th. That would be tomorrow for those who are readying this live or today for those who had to take a bit of a breather before jumping into the news again. No matter the case, Silent Breath has hit that Early Access milestone and we need to get our microphones ready and all of the streamers to start making those jump scare videos one more time. If you are not just trying it all for yourself in the first place.
Those who have not been following along with everything for Silent Breath should know some of the basics before they look into the game. It is another of the many bodycam and microphone detection titles that are the big thing right now. All with us walking through some realistic settings, searching for some lost humans in the woods, and trying to not grab the attention of the horrors in the world after the sun goes down. That is where the terrifying aspect of Silent Breath comes in as it will have the creatures hunting you based on the sound you make while playing. If you make noise, the game ends and you have to start it all over again. Have a jumpy look at what you can join in on when the Early Access kicks off.
Silent Breath — Early Access Release Date
Silent Breath will be released in Early Access on the 5th of April, 2024!
Silent Breath is a horror experience powered by Unreal Engine 5. Featuring photorealistic graphics, fully dynamic scares, and microphone detection.
You find yourself in the middle of a mysterious forest. Your goal is to find people who have previously gotten lost in the forest. You must be Silent at night because the forest is listening to your voice through your microphone as you explore. It tries to make you Scream with various jumpscares. When you scream, you get one step closer to losing. You also have to constantly check your surroundings because real threats that are trying to hunt you down are on your tail. You lose when you scream or get caught by threats, and the game restarts, but this time the locations of the previously found lost people have also changed. You can’t even predict what fear the game will throw at you at any given time because the whole process is randomized.
Game Features:
- Microphone Detection
- Unpredictable Full Dynamic Jumpscares
- Found-Footage - VHS Style Graphics
- Different AIs Hunting You Down
- Photorealistic Environment
- Huge Forest with Different Locations in Every Direction
- Replayability (Scares and missing person locations are dynamically randomized in every playthrough, making each playthrough a unique experience.)
Game Lore
After a night you can’t remember, you find yourself at a familiar-looking crime scene. You notice that a body has been found, with his own missing person’s poster attached to his chest.
This forest has a reputation for a reason. People have been coming here for years to experience different types of horror, but most of them have never returned. You think you can find more missing people after this one, but be careful. There are many threats in the forest that can kill you, including yourself.
While I do not find any of the things in Silent Breath overly scary, I am excited to see how this and the other titles leaning into the style will push the genre forward. Having the terrors in the game react to what we say or just making real-world noise will add more of that tension while we sit in the comforts of our homes. Then the specific camera style does make it all feel like it is a true found footage kind of thing, which should further immerse us all into the terror. Similar to how some of the other big names did the same thing. I just hope that Silent Breath does not sit in the Early Access Hells of things for too long and we can see it come into full form down the line at some point.
Are you going to be giving Silent Breath a try when it drops out there or will you be waiting for the full version to finally come out? What do you think we will see come to light during the Early Access and will it be more than just fine-tuning the microphone detection in the game? How do you think the team will handle those who are going to try to cheat the system by spoofing their microphones for the game? Wander into the comment section to let us all know those thoughts and then feel free to discuss it all as you so wish to do. When there is more to offer up for Silent Breath, we will do that all here. Please keep a keen eye out on the site to get all of that in due time.
