Epic Mickey
The announcement for Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is here so we can all experience a newer version of Epic Mickey soon
It is soon going to be time to bring back some fond memories of another past title with the announcement for Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed. A new version of the classic game coming from Purple Lamp and THQ Nordic so we can all go back and splash some paint and thinner around the various locations in the Disney universe. That or allow others to head out on the same magical quest in Epic Mickey that they might have missed out on before. No matter how you slice it, the game is on the way to us all again for 2024 and hitting the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC when it does.
Before we all get too excited to see Epic Mickey back out there and hitting more platforms than before, all we have for now is a nice cinematic trailer that does hint at some of the visuals and changes coming to this version but not much else. We get to know the game is coming and is a full remake of the original title. A title that has Mickey out in a magical world, using a magical paintbrush, and clearing out all the ink he has placed out there. A fun little action platformer from fourteen years ago on the Wii but really should have hit all of the other systems out there. This is most likely why we have Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed on the way to us now. Have a look and see if you will be getting just as excited for this release of another classic out there.
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed — Announcement
An epic adventure returns! Together with Disney Games, Purple Lamp, and THQ Nordic is thrilled to announce the remake of an iconic game: Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed!
Join Mickey Mouse on his magical quest and get ready to wield the power of paint and thinner once again.
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
I am not going to lie, I loved Epic Mickey when it came out before and it gave me a fun little break from all of the other titles I was playing at the time. Sadly, it was on the Wii so there were a few limitations and other bits that made me not want to finish it the first time around, so it sat and collected dust. Hitting these other systems with Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed might get me back in, not just for the remake aspect of it all, but all the other things that help keep players going through the motions. Like, I know at the time, trophy and achievement support would have helped with a bigger sense of accomplishment and drove me to finish. Now that we are getting to the systems that do that, I have at least one more big reason to go back into the story and search out all of the different collectibles.
Did you have a chance to play Epic Mickey before or will the remake give you the first chance to do so? How do you think the gameplay will be altered with the Wii controls not being for every system out there? Will the other little additions over the last fourteen years of gaming place more of a reason to finish it all or will that just be icing on the cake? Head into the comment section and paint us all a good picture of your thoughts and then discuss. We will share what we can for Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed as we get the updates, so please keep on swinging back to the site to see and hear about all of that as we get them out there.
