The next big update for Dead By Daylight is here with so many more things coming to Dead By Daylight from Alan Wake

Step into the light with Alan Wake within Dead By Daylight as of right now. You can do that if you are willing to give the game more of your time and see the extra effort that Behaviour has put into the game for us all. Especially when you get to see that there is even more coming to Dead By Daylight from Alan Wake than was originally stated. This is going to be a nice chunk of DLC for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC if you are ready for it all. Let us have a look at what is live, coming soon, and the extra Tome that we are going to get to Revise in the mix of all of this right now.

While we have had a look at what Alan Wake will be able to do in Dead By Daylight already, in this new update we have, we also have word that Saga will be showing up as well as some other big characters from the game as skins too. Almost as if the band is all here, except there is no sign of the Old Gods in the mix. I guess they are leaving the heavy metal to other things in Dead By Daylight where we get a few new looks at some Killers in the mix. One of whom looks a lot like the Bat Who Laughs from the Dark Metal run of comics. Dead By Daylight is a multiplayer action/horror game where one player takes on the role of a brutal Killer and the other four play as Survivors. As a Killer your goal is to sacrifice as many Survivors as possible. As Survivors your goal is to work together to evade, escape, and most importantly – stay alive.

Perks - The Writer’s Craft

With years of writing hit crime novels under his belt coupled with harrowing experiences in Bright Falls and the Dark Place, it's safe to say Alan knows a thing or two about survival. He brings his wealth of experience into The Fog in the form of three Perks. Just like in the Alan Wake games, the light is the key.

  • His first Perk, Champion of Light, grants you additional movement speed while shining a Flashlight. If you successfully Blind a Killer, they get afflicted with the Hindered Status Effect, temporarily slowing them down.
  • Use Boon: Illumination to create a Boon Totem, allowing all nearby Survivors to see the Auras of Generators and Chests across the Map. When you have a lit Boon Totem, you’ll also Cleanse and Bless Totems faster.
  • There’s always a deadline creeping up. His third Perk, Deadline, activates when you’re injured, upping the frequency of Skill Checks while healing Survivors or repairing Generators. Should you happen to miss one, the penalty will be halved.

I have always had a slight interest in getting back into Dead By Daylight before now with all of the other horror icons that have been in there, but this Alan Wake update has me sold a bit more. Even if it would have been nice to know some of these other things were on the way to us before now. I guess there will always be some massive and fun surprises in Dead By Daylight as long as we all keep on playing the game. Even some who feel like they are running right up to some copyright lines and spitting in the faces of those who hold them. I am not complaining about that at all. I am just worried that some of the companies might call this out and then this amazing game might be no more. Fingers crossed that this does not shine too bright of a light on things now.
