Dead By Daylight
Have a look at Alan Wake before he shows up in Dead By Daylight with the next big character spotlight we have for Dead By Daylight
We still have to wait a little longer for Alan Wake to make the way through the fog and into Dead By Daylight. He is still slated to drop into the game on January 30th for all of the platforms that the game is on. That does not mean that Behaviour is not ready to give us a spotlight on the character before then. All so we can see what Alan will bring to the table if we so choose to use him in Dead By Daylight. Let us have a look at the perks that Alan will be able to employ. Not a massive spoiler, but it is related to light as we knew it all would be.
As was to be expected, even if it is Dead By Daylight, Alan will get to use his flashlight in the game and is part of his first perk called Champion Of Light. Something that will give Alan a boost to speed and slow down the Killer when used on them. Then the boons that Alan will have will be Illumination and Deadline. The prior gives us the ability to set up totems that will highlight all of the important things in the map of Dead By Daylight for all survivors. The latter gives us more of the QTEs during specific events so that we should be able to heal and perform all of the other actions a bit faster too. You know, because the is a Deadline to meet.
Dead By Daylight — Alan Wake Spotlight
Alan Wake is coming to The Fog.
Continue his story in the Spotlight Trailer, highlighting his unique character Perks: Champion of Light, Boon: Illumination, and Deadline.
Dead By Daylight is a multiplayer action/horror game where one player takes on the role of a brutal Killer and the other four play as Survivors. As a Killer your goal is to sacrifice as many Survivors as possible. As Survivors your goal is to work together to evade, escape, and most importantly – stay alive.
All of this feels about par the course for Dead By Daylight and Alan Wake here. It is a little odd that the flashlight does not do much on the offensive side of things beyond slowly blinding the Killer, but that has to be more for the balance of it all. While Illumination does feel like a solid Boon to have too, it does not fully jive with the character to me. Not a terrible thing, since it does give Alan something solid to do in the game, it just does not feel like his character to me. Then again, this is Dead By Daylight and not Alan Wake, so they need to take those deviations for a better experience out there.
Are you still amped to get to see Alan Wake join the Dead By Daylight space or do these perks and boons get you further excited? Do you like how the flashlight is being used in the mix or did you want it to be in a different way? Will the Deadline boon play out better than we expect or will it be odd to have more QTEs in the mix? Take to the comments to discuss all of this and everything else that we have out there. As more for Dead By Daylight is out there, we will share it all with you as best as we can. Please keep on coming back to the site to see and hear about all of this.
