Warhammer
The release date for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is set so we can head back into the Warhammer 40,000 universe
The wait continues but we do have a light at the end of the tunnel when that will be over for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. In a blink and you might have missed it thing during The Game Awards, you may have seen that Saber Interactive has an idea of when the game will be able to hit the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. We have the short announcement that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be releasing out there on September 9th, 2024. Still a bit of a wait, as I mentioned, but one that feels like it will land at a perfect time for many gamers out there and be a fully ready title out there. If you want to ignore any of that planned DLC that usually leans toward it not being a 100% complete title with just more ready to come.
Just as with all of the release date announcements we get out there, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 does offer up a new trailer to go with it. A short trailer that gives us mostly pre-rendered visuals and very little of the actual gameplay to experience in the mix. More of a "this could have been an email" kind of update, but that is not as fun to read out there. We need those explosions and blood flying everywhere when we gear up to see how the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine IP is going to keep marching forward into the dark abyss. As if they did not have a whole lot more of the universe to keep it all going with that in the first place…

While I am glad to hear that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has a release date, I truly hate these kinds of updates when it comes to our games. Not that they are not good, but it feels like the bare minimum given the attention spans of the audiences and how the news cycle normally goes for these things. I mean, this would have been completely buried in the announcements of everything if it did not have a flashy new bit of visuals to go along with it. So we get this short little clip that rehashes a lot of the same things we have seen for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 already. Just so we can see the release date splashed on top. All so the studio and publisher could pay to have the ad run during a show that is commercials with a discussion on how most of us thought other games were good. I am not salty. You are salty.
Have you been waiting to hear and see when the next big Warhammer 40,000 game was going to come out or did you have your sights set on the many others already on the way? Do you think that this will feel like a full title with the longer wait we have here or will it be a base game with the true meat yet to come in the DLC? Do you think that this news would have been able to get out there easier without the basic trailer we have or was it required so they could get a slot on the award show in the first place? Take to the comments and discuss all of this out there. We will offer up what we can for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, so please keep on coming back to see and hear all of that as we can get it out there.
