Marvel’s Blade Is Stalking The Nights In A New Upcoming Video Game

Blade

The announcement of Marvel’s Blade is here and Blade will have his own video game out there in the world one more time

Even though many are still waiting for the film to show up out there, it looks as if we are getting a video game based on Marvel’s Blade. A new title that was showcased during The Game Awards and let the world know that the Daywalker was coming back. Coming back and coming from Arkane Lyon and Bethesda when he does come. Not that they have not tried to give us a vampire title not too long ago either… but this one is coming from the Dishonored and DEATHLOOP developers and not the others. So, there is some potential there as fans of Blade look for anything to keep their love and fun going in some kind of interactive way. Let us see what we have on the way when this title does actually launch out there.

To start off, not much else is said about Marvel’s Blade beyond the following cinematic trailer. The game is coming, it will be a third-person single-player experience that looks like it is going to be using some of the art styles from the popular animated films in Marvel’s wheelhouse. Oh, and it looks as if Blade will be hunting vampires in Paris, France. Worth noting as the iconic locations are peppered in throughout the following teaser and they want it to be well-known this is where the character is. Have a look and see if the hype is going to slap you in the face or shove a stake in your heart for now.

Marvel’s Blade — Announcement

In Marvel’s Blade, Eric Brooks is the legendary Daywalker, half-man, half-vampire torn between the warm society of the living and the rushing power of the undead. From Bethesda and Arkane Lyon, the studio that brought you Dishonored and DEATHLOOP, Marvel’s Blade is a mature, single-player, third-person game set in the heart of Paris, now in development in collaboration with Marvel Games.

On one hand, I am excited to hear that we are getting a title like Marvel’s Blade. This is one of my favorite characters that Marvel has and a video game based around the character just always feels like it is perfect to build with. On the other hand, why not offer up anything to us beyond just saying they are working on it with a flashy trailer? I would have been glad to wait until we got to see how this third-person game would play instead of getting excited to see the character getting a shave. The best guess is that they wanted to make sure we all knew Marvel’s Blade was its own thing and not a film tie-in title as it seems like both might be landing close to each other. Outside of that, all this does is build blind hype from a publisher that gave us a poorly received vampire-hunting game not too long ago.

What do you think about the little we have for this Blade video game and should they have waited until there was more to share? Will this always be seen as a tie-in if they both launch around the same time yet still have nothing but a character name to link them? Will this actually land on more than the PC and Xbox or will this be a title that a massive fanbase will be locked out of due to businesses trying to force a hand? Tell us your thoughts on this down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all. As mentioned, we are fans of the character over here, so we will keep an eye on Marvel’s Blade and drop all of the updates that we can. Please keep on checking back to see and hear about all of those as they come.
