The True Hero Is Fully Going To Emerg In Achilles: Legends Untold

Achilles

The full release date for Achilles: Legends Untold is now set so all gamers can take a swing at being the hero Achilles

It has been a journey for Achilles: Legends Untold up to now, and here we go with the full release of the game on the way. After being in the Early Access stage of things for a good while, it looks as if Dark Point Games is ready to drop the full version out there. Not only on the PC but also on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. All of which on November 2nd for all that want to give it a solid go. That or for those who want to see how this story of Achilles will play out and differ from the ones we have had for centuries now. His story does truly live on forever as was dictated by Thetis.

If you have been following along with Achilles: Legends Untold up to now, you will have seen how this Souls-like title came to be and evolved over multiple different updates during the Early Access phase. All of those changes will be put to good use as we help our hero through these various dungeons and fight various other monsters of myth. Many of the monsters that were fought by other heroes in the past or vanquished in other ways. Maybe this is a good way to make the game flow better but it does feel like we are now Achilles-washing the stories for those who will never take the time to truly learn the history of things. Not that we dig into video games for that kind of history lesson out there in the first place…

Achilles: Legends Untold is available now on Steam and Epic Game Store, and on Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5 at full release on November 2nd.

While I am happy to see Achilles getting more of the limelight as dictated, I am a bit sad to see that this goes in the Souls-like mechanics of things instead. Those have to be some of the worst gameplay mechanics I have ever experienced in the industry but for some reason, many of you out there love them still. Good on you for having something you love, but it does make Achilles: Legends Untold a title I will not be running out to go play. I will stick to my other heroes and titles that made new heroes out there instead. Although, if things do seem to change from now until November 2nd, I might be interested to see just how this story is being retold once more. For the sake of Thetis at the very least of it all.

Did you think we were going to have to wait longer to get this Achilles title out there or does it feel about right to have the game in Early Access for about a year? How do you think it will be explained that we only have this one hero taking down these various monsters that had others involved? Will we see many more updates after the launch or was that only to keep us all engaged during the EA and then the studio will go back to the traditional update and release cycle of other titles? Fight it all out in the comments below and then discuss it all until you get to experience the game firsthand. If we get more to share for Achilles: Legends Untold, know that we will share it all here. Please keep on coming back to see and hear all of that as we march forward into the future.
