It was only another matter of time, but here we go with the announcement for Tomb Raider I-III Remastered in the world now. Do not take that as a bad thing, but it was something many had suspected could be on the way to us all. Now, it seems that Aspyr is making that just so by bringing us all of the classic Tomb Raider to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC this coming Valentine's Day. Yes, all three of these remasters will be available on February 14th as of this massive update and announcement we are getting for the IP now. Mark the calendars and get ready to spend time with one of the bigger video game boos out there.
While this collection of Tomb Raider will obviously bring us the newer visuals that we have come to enjoy over the years, there are a few more things in the mix too. Like the fact that we will be able to play all of the games with the classic looks and controls if that is so desired. Also, all of the DLC and expansions for the three Tomb Raider titles will be added in for extra fun. Along with the usual quality of life and other elements to help the games run smoothly on the modern systems out there. Now we only get to hope that they put all of the various cheats in the mix and maybe even that infamous internet rumor too. If you know, you know.

Players can experience the journey their own way, with the ability to toggle on the fly between enhanced and original graphics, as well as switch between classic and modern joystick control schemes. Fans will also discover a variety of quality-of-life improvements, including camera lock-on and achievements.
Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft features:
While I do like getting some of my classic games back in my hands on my current systems, I still would have rather seen the effort go into a fully new Tomb Raider title instead. This feels almost like someone is trying to hold onto the memory and IP a little longer than they should instead of pressing forward with things. Maybe this is to hold Crystal over while that happens, but these always feel like a cash grab more than anything when they happen. Which is going to do its job, as I will be tossing out the money to reclaim the lost Tomb Raider titles of yore once more.
Have you been looking to go back in time with the Tomb Raider titles or did you want to see it press onward? Would you want to play with the older controls after decades of improvements they have had? Could we see some of those rumored things added in for fun or will they always stay in those parts of the internet to never see the light of day? Head to the comment section and discuss it all if you want to. We will have more to share for Tomb Raider I-III Remastered in the near future, so please keep on checking back for those updates and many others still to come.
