We are about to head into Mortal Kombat with the opening cinematic we are going to get in Mortal Kombat 1

While we had some fun looks at Mortal Kombat 1 during Gamescom 2023 and had a few more characters confirmed for the game, we had one more big thing flow out there before the September 19^th release date for the game. A nice little bit that could potentially hype us all up for what NetherRealm Studios is working on or spoil some of the game for us. To this, we are talking about having the opening cinematic for Mortal Kombat 1 that will lead us into the first main fight in the story. No, this is not through any leaks or anything, but given to the world freely to get us all ready to jump in on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC when the time is finally here.

You have now been warned about this for Mortal Kombat 1, and now we can dig into it all. Especially since it looks as if we are getting a different side to Shang Tsung in this new reality along with the main villain here. Hopefully, the game will explain how Fire God Liu Kang let this slip through the cracks when rebuilding the "perfect" universe and timeline, but we will have to wait and see. What we will not have to wait and see, though, is how the main fight looks to kick off with Jung Lao and Raiden in their village. All to show how some of these characters in Mortal Kombat 1 are still linked in certain ways no matter the case but will have a different origin in this run of it all. Those timeline video makers out there are going to be dying after this one drops for sure.

It truly does not offer up much more than a throwback to the original ads from when Mortal Kombat first hit the scene as well as a reminder that the game is coming. All as all of the gamers out there, along with Dave Bautista, scream that it is in their blood again. Fun, but ultimately not needed in today's market. At least, I am not seeing why. Nonetheless, you can have a look at it just a little lower and see if it flows in your blood too.
