The Next Battle Is Coming In January With Tekken 8

Tekken

The release date for Tekken 8 is now set with a lot more shown off to us all for Tekken 8 too

It slipped out there during Gamescom 2023, but we finally have the release date for Tekken 8 out there and more than just having a 2024 timeline. It falls about when we were expecting for it all, but Bandai Namco has finally confirmed that we will be seeing the game on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this coming January 26th, 2024. Yes, it will be early in 2024 and we will have so much to do in Tekken 8 too. That is the next bit of news we have to take in for the game out of the recent announcement and showing we just had at the major convention too. With new characters shown and some other features, we will have in the game.

To kick it off, since it is a big thing for me in Tekken we finally get to see Yoshimitsu in the game. He will be one of the 32 different fighters we will have to play with in the game and, now, we are able to see just how the character looks and might act in the game. It is short and sweet just before we shift into seeing how some of the other aspects of Tekken 8 will look. Like the arcade mode and the Chibi-style of customization, we will have in the mix of things too. All so we can further customize the various characters in the game for our own needs instead of just enjoying the new story and action more than anything. I guess this is something fans have been begging for…

Tekken 8 — Release Date & Exclusive Content Reveal

Get ready, warriors.

The next King of Iron Fist tournament will start on January 26, 2024 👊

And there's so much more to catch in the Tekken 8 Gamescom trailer 🥊

For me, I have little care for these new customization options in Tekken 8 and will be looking to just get into the fights out there. It is exciting to see that we are going to have a whole lot of characters right out the gate with the game and I have a feeling we are going to see many more in the mix too. It definitely looks like we are going to have an over-the-top story mixed in here too, which is something I have always been thinking that Tekken has been missing in the past. Even if most gamers will focus only on the competitive fighting and not the fun that they can have by mixing a great story in with some of the combat. I know I am a weird one when it comes to all of that.

Have you been waiting for a massive story to be in the mix for Tekken or have you enjoyed the fighting focus more than anything? How many more characters do you think we could see after the launch out there or is the roster large enough already? What do you think about the customization options we have to see here and will that be where you focus some of your time in the game now? Fight your way into the comment section and then feel free to discuss it all as you so want to do. There is more for Tekken 8 on the way with all the time we have before launch. Just keep a close eye on the site to be able to experience it all.
