There Will Be A Whole Lot Of New Ways To Play With Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

Cyberpunk

The next big update for Cyberpunk 2077 will bring us closer to the original vision with the release of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty

In just under a month now, the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty DLC will be dropping out there to bring us all back for one more run through Night City and with a whole new story to take in. There is a massive story that it feels like CD Projekt RED is finally getting to tell in this new DLC, but it also looks as if they might be getting closer to the version of Cyberpunk they wanted to release on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The way it should have been before all of the dumb fans and investors forced their hand to release the project which almost brought the developer down completely. I say that, as we have a look at a whole lot of changes and upgrades coming for the core game along with this DLC now.

The 2.0 update for Cyberpunk 2077 is dropping at the same time for all of the current-gen platforms out there as the Phantom Liberty story. This new update will mix in a new level cap, weapons, gear, and perks, but a better way to us all of that in the game. A fully revamped perk and progression system will be in the mix here. Along with that, it looks like the AI is getting a massive boost with the police and how the story and side missions will be fed to us all. Then we will also see a better vehicle combat system and even more dynamic events in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. As the following video shows, this all feels like it is closer to the original vision we all should have just waited for.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty — New Ways To Play

Take a closer look at the new features coming to Cyberpunk 2077 together with the Phantom Liberty expansion!

Some of these features will be also added to the base game — as part of Update 2.0 which will be available on the current-gen consoles and PC!

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty arrives on September 26th on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

While all of these updates for Cyberpunk 2077 are amazing, it still feels like we are a little bit away from the full vision the team had for the game. I am sure that we might see this as the updates keep flowing out there, and am glad to see these updates along the way. Glad enough that I will be jumping in again on the game after the long wait on September 26th here. Even if it is just to see how well the updates have shifted things in Cyberpunk 2077 on top of playing the new story I have yet to finish out there. Even if that does mean that we are going to be missing many of the little things that made the game a little crazier due to glitches in the mix.

Have you been excited to get back into more for Cyberpunk 2077 or did you fully drop the game back at the launch? Do you think these updates were originally in the plan or just things that came about due to all of the issues we have seen since the launch? Will we ever see the final version of this game or will it forever be in update mode to get us a little closer each time? Take a jaunt on down to the comments and discuss all of this as we wait for the update to finally come to us all. We will have all that we can for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty in the coming weeks, so please keep coming back to see and hear all of that.
