The Lich Emperor Invites Us All To The Early Access For Pathfinder: Gallowspire Survivors

Pathfinder

The early access for Pathfinder: Gallowspire Survivors is now set down for Pathfinder fans to give it all a go

Those that have been jonesing for another roguelite in their lives and are willing to give one more Early Access a go, can now look to September 14th to dive into what Pathfinder: Gallowspire Survivors has to offer up. This one is a bit of deviation from what we have seen from the IP in the past, but it does look as if BKOM Studios has been working hard and there is some solid faith in how things are getting shaken up for it all. Enough into it all that they are giving those Pathfinder fans out there a chance to dive in and give some feedback with the PC version of the game soon. This feels like it will be something that many out there will be looking to help shape with how it is deviating a bit from the basics they already knew out there.

There is no listing as to what will be held back for the Early Access of Pathfinder: Gallowspire Survivors, but we do know we will see the Fighter, Wizard, and Rogue in the mix of a bullet hell style game while trying to stop the Lich from doing what liches do. That seat of power needs to be filled in some way and why not the Lich, besides the whole world domination and death stuff that they normally bring? Things that we will need to stop with all of the spells, weapons, and gear that are fitting for this game and lifted from the Pathfinder setting too. Have a gander at what is on the way to us soon just a bit lower down and see if it is going to be something you want to help shape out there.

Pathfinder: Gallowspire Survivors — Early Access

BKOM Studios Paizo are thrilled to share that Pathfinder: Gallowspire Survivors will be launching into Steam Early Access on September 14th. Experience Pathfinder through a whole new lens, and oppose the legendary villain Tar-Baphon in this roguelite bullet hell survivor game.

The disgraced lich-emperor Tar-Baphon lies sealed away beneath his ancient seat of power, Gallowspire. Here, he has cunningly devised the means for his escape. As the wards that contain him begin to fail, three brave heroes step into Gallowspire’s depths, tasked with battling through his army of undead to put an end to his plans.

Players battle through Gallowspire as one of three mighty heroes: Fighter, Wizard, or Rogue. While each has their own strengths and talents that will aid their efforts against Tar-Baphon, the task at hand is too much for a lone hero. Choose an ally to fight alongside you as you slay hordes of enemies, collect and upgrade your arsenal of spells and weapons, and eradicate Gallowspire’s terrifying bosses.

There will be many failures throughout your journey, but aided by a mysterious amulet, the heroes can escape death and grow stronger with each attempt. Only those who find the strength to break through Gallowspire may face the eternal emperor. But one victory will not be enough to seal away the Whispering Tyrant forever. Heroes must confront him again and again to buy the world of Golarion the time it needs to prepare for Tar-Baphon’s seemingly inevitable return.

Pathfinder: Gallowspire Survivors launches into Early Access on September 14th.

Truth be told, none of this seems to flow well for me in the Pathfinder setting of it all. Outside of the story and setting, it does not feel right to see this as a bullet-hell style of game. Even when you mix in the roguelite elements of it all, something just does not feel right for me. I mean, I am not a fan of the genres being used in general, but a fantasy setting with so much richness for the story and other styles of gameplay, it feels like Pathfinder: Gallowspire Survivors should have gone a different direction. That is just me, though, and this could end up being the game that blows the minds of everyone out there. Time will only tell, but I know my reservations are being placed for it all and we will see if I have to eat any crow.

Are you going to be looking to get in on the Early Access for this one or will you let it flow out as needed? Does it feel right for this to be a Pathfinder title or is it not sitting well with you too? Is this just a way to show why the teams deserve to make a different game in the setting out there or will it be a way to just grab some cash around the IP in general? Venture forward to the comment section below and discuss it all with everyone else out there. We will have more for Pathfinder: Gallowspire Survivors as soon as we can, so please keep on checking in for all of that and everything else we can share along the way with you.
