Silent Hill
New details for Silent Hill: Ascension are here as we get our first steps back into the darkness of Silent Hill
Little was given to us all when Silent Hill: Ascension was first announced, but here we go with a little bit more. This feels like how it is always going to go here for these titles. Thankfully, Genvid is out there doing the proper work and giving us all a little look at how Konami is going to try to keep the IP alive. All with a new cinematic video to try to show off the horrors and with some news as to what Silent Hill: Ascension will actually be when it launches in 2023. Surprisingly, it sounds like this is going to be a shared experience across all gamers and not just the small fiefdoms we have in our little communities.
While the trailer for Silent Hill: Ascension does offer up some fun and horrifying things to enjoy, it is the gameplay mechanics that have my eye. This one sounds like it will be playing out as we guide multiple protagonists through the streets of the town and dodge various monsters out there. The catch is that it is a live-streaming game where everyone, and they mean everyone, will get a say on how it will end. That is the scarier part as humans will always choose the worst and dumbest things just for the laugh instead. There is no indication if there will be other ways to help it all end, but from the little more we know, it sounds more like a show that we will ride out to completion and not a true game we can play over and over to see all the ways things can go down.
Silent Hill: Ascension — Trailer
Face Your Trauma Together.
Redemption, suffering, or damnation? The actions of millions will determine the outcomes of Silent Hill: Ascension. Genvid presents a new interactive series, coming in 2023.
Silent Hill: Ascension follows multiple main characters from locations around the world tormented by new and terrifying Silent Hill monsters. Lurking in the shadows, these monsters threaten to consume people, their children, and entire towns as they're drawn into the darkness by both recent murders and long-suppressed guilt and fears.
In Silent Hill: Ascension the actions of millions will determine the outcome. By the time the last scene streams, which characters have survived? Will those who are left be redeemed, damned, or suffer? Even the project’s creators do not know how Silent Hill: Ascension will end. Instead, the character’s fates are in the audience’s hands.
Does this sound like the Silent Hill title you have been waiting for or do you think the masses will ruin it again? Will this be a one-and-done event or will there be options to go through it all multiple times without the human swarm out there? How do you suspect they are going to try to grab the cash from this and will that be where multiple viewings will play in? Take to the comment section and let the discussion flow out there for all of this. There will be much more for Silent Hill: Ascension as we get it all. Please keep checking back in for all of those updates and everything else that we have to offer up along the way out there.
