Suicide Squad
Out of the recent State of Play, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League offered up a whole lot of new gameplay and looks at the Suicide Squad
It finally happened and we have a much better look at Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League out of the State Of Play for PlayStation. A whole lot more for the game with some new co-op gameplay and a bit of the behind-the-scenes from Rocksteady to show off other features of the game. Thankfully, for many out there, this behind-the-scenes video is not the normal one that will be showing off how Suicide Squad came to be, but a look at the various gameplay elements and teases for what is to come. Teases that are not only for the game, but also for things that could be coming down the line if the game does well on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. We will know for certain when May 26th rolls on in and gives us the best look we can get.
To kick things off, we get to see the whole Suicide Squad that we have out the gate take on the Flash while trying to save Lex Luthor. All of this is in the early stages of the four-player co-op that we can experience the whole game in. Not to mention showing off how all of the characters will be using guns and have some form of flying mechanic in the game. A weird thing to highlight when you have so many other ways that these villains could attack and get around. Deadshot making the most sense with his jetpack, with Harley getting a roving drone that she can grapple to, with King Shark and Boomerang getting some kind of dash and hover mechanic that feels outside the norm for the characters. Maybe it will make sense in the story we have for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, but it just seems off to me and as if the game is leaning more toward a looter shooter game instead of what the Arkham titles have always been. Have a gander at all of that just a bit lower.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League — No Matter The Cost
Stop The Flash and rescue Lex Luthor in the process. No matter the cost.
Check out the first official look at 4-player Co-Op gameplay for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League in this exclusive Sony State of Play trailer as Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark combine their unique traversal abilities, gunplay, melee, tactics, and teamwork to face off against waves of Brainiac’s corrupted soldiers and take down a huge techno-organic artillery gun that has been phased into Metropolis.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is available May 26, 2023, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Now that we have all of that out of the way, we can look at a little more for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League here. The next bit shows off how we will be upgrading and customizing our characters in the game with the various gear collected along the way. Most of these look like we will have some fun cosmetic options in the mix while running and gunning, but the inclusion of other characters is where things feel like they are going to be shifting. In fact, we will be seeing various other villains joining the Suicide Squad here to aid them with the Penguin, Toyman, Gizmo, and Hack. All of whom will be offering up the team various tools, gear, and intel along the way to help highlight that they cannot truly kill the Justice League all on their own.
Interestingly, it sounds like we will be getting a whole lot more story after the main one and more members to our Suicide Squad post-launch. That is a little bit of a tease at the end of the following video and it does not sound like it will be something minor. It sounds like we will bet whole new playable characters into the game to experience it all with and see how that can keep the replay value of the game flowing. There is no word on which other villains and characters will be joining the Suicide Squad down the line, but it does feel like the team has some thoughts or things in the works already. Fingers are crossed that we get some of the more obscure ones out there so we can have just as silly of a title along with a dark story we have all been expecting.
