This little tid bit of news comes in two fun flavors. One fore gamers and the other for those in the industry looking for a job.
It was teased and rumored no more than a week ago that Eidos-Montréal was going to be bringing us all another round of sneaking around with the much anticipated Thief 4. So far as that many outlets were trying hard to find anything that would give this away before any kind of meeting at E3. One of such ways that things have been leaked has been though other game companies posting jobs on their boards only to specify a title or aspect of a title they originally didn't want to. Looks like they are nipping this in the bud.
Which brings us to the other flavor, the first of course being the announcement. They are looking for talent to work on this game. Which is good for the 12% of the industry that was let go or can't find a job in the industry given the panic companies are going through. Good to see there are still opportunities out there.
Granted, this isn't big news for a lot of you out there, but given there is nothing much about this game other than the nice little logo above and the forums, I thought it a nice addition to give you readers.
Eidos-Montréal is excited to unveil, our previously secret second title in development at the studio, as Thief 4, the next installment in the legendary series! Monday, May 11, 2009 - Montreal "Were in the early development stages for Thief 4, but this is an incredibly ambitious project and a very exciting one. It's too early for us to offer any specific game details, right now we are focused on recruiting the very best talent to join the core team at the studio and help us make, what we believe will be one of the most exciting games on the market." |
