Wanted: Dead
Wanted: Dead is almost here and it is time to breakdown more of the combat we will experience in Wanted: Dead
It is almost a month out from the launch for Wanted: Dead with February 14th rolling up on us quickly here. A date that will give some of us a reprieve from the "holiday" that others might be celebrating with some extra hyper-violence out there. Soleil knows how to treat some of the gamers out there with all of this and also wants to make sure we are fully ready for all of the combat they have put into the system for us. All to make Wanted: Dead the perfect distraction from all of the other stuff "in the air" while giving us a great game for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Now we get to dive further into the swords and guns that will be painting the world red out there, just in a different way than what Eros has in mind.
In the following video for Wanted: Dead, here we get to see how Hannah will have various weapons at their disposal from handguns to rifles to swords so enemies can be dispatched with great ease. All with other variations in between to add some extra flair to the gun-fu and finishing attacks out there. Especially since we will have to always be on the move in the game so we do not get swarmed by the enemies in the world too. This is also where the skill tree of it all will help function a bit more and further build out Hannah in Wanted: Dead. More or less, just as we have seen in other titles like it, just with its own setting and differences to make it feel like something we have not played before. Not a bad thing, as one should never break a system that works if it helps out along the way for everything else.
Wanted: Dead — Combat Explained
110 Industries reloads with a new video series for Wanted: Dead, taking an in-depth look into the game’s slick and stylish high-octane combat mechanics. Wanted: Dead is available to preorder now and is coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, & PC on February 14th, Valentine’s Day 2023.
Developed by Japanese studio Soleil, Wanted: Dead is no ordinary action game. Players will experience some nail-bitingly close encounters and will have to use their skills to juggle between slashing sword combat and thrilling gunplay in order to survive the onslaught of enemies thrown in their path. Boasting a truly hardcore challenge, inspired by the mechanically rich combat systems of the Ninja Gaiden series, Wanted: Dead is not for the faint of heart and aims to put the player's mettle to the test.
From the get-go, the player is well-equipped with a powerful ranged weapon. However, solely relying on Hannah’s rifle won't get you very far so ammo and secondary weapons dropped by enemies like assault rifles, SMGs, LMGs, and grenade launchers will come in handy for when the fights intensify. Choose wisely though, as picking the right weapon mix in an encounter could mean the difference between life and death.
One way to survive in Wanted: Dead is to stay on the move by combining run and gun mechanics, melee combat, slide attacks, grenade tossing, and takedowns to overcome your enemies in a sleek seamless style. Wanted: Dead requires mastery and will not go easy on the player so blocking and countering enemy attacks are essential and fundamental skills that will allow the player to progress.
Not only does Wanted: Dead offer the player crazy cutthroat combat combinations to take down enemies, but unlockable skills are also a key feature with a skill tree divided into three categories (offense, defense, and utility). With no right or wrong way to spend these points, players ultimately have the choice of how they tailor their Wanted: Dead experience. While some players may like to rely on support from their team, others prefer defensive strategies during combat and some might even want to go on a total rampage and charge headfirst into the action.
Have you been gearing up for Wanted: Dead before now or will you need this bloody distraction on the day it launches out there? How different do you think the skills will be from others we have experienced or will they be similar with different names from other titles? Will the AI swarm us too fast in the game here or will we be able to manage that well with all of the weapons and assets at hand in the game? Sound off in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all as you so wish to do. When we have anything else to offer up for Wanted: Dead, it will be here on the site for you. Please keep checking in for all of that and everything else that you may be looking for in the gaming sphere.
