Need For Speed
New gameplay for Need For Speed Unbound is out there to show off how this Need For Speed title has grown over the years
Let us kick things into gear for Need For Speed Unbound just before its upcoming December 2nd release date out there. It is coming in fast and it feels like we only heard about the game not too long ago. None of that changes the fact that Criterion Games has not put a whole lot of work into it all and it is fully deserving of our time. At least, for now, since we have some new gameplay for Need For Speed Unbound to help drive us into the final stretch and see if it is going to be the racing game we all need under the trees this year. Of just on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in the weeks leading up to that holiday part.
You can see that there has been some great craft put into the game here, but it also looks just like so many other Need For Speed titles over the years. This is not a terrible thing, as it is usually what the fans want out of all of it, but to me, it feels like the cars have a massive visual upgrade that generally comes with each new iteration, and then the humans have been given a different style to make it feel like it is not the same game. Maybe this is only emphasized by the fact that the whole gameplay video we do have here is un-narrated and the non-driving elements are not fully explained. I have a feeling that is where Need For Speed Unbound is going to truly feel different from the past titles. Thankfully, we do not have much longer to wait to see how it all shakes out.
