Let’s Do It With The New Reveal For The Upcoming Need For Speed Unbound

Need For Speed

The next Need For Speed title is on the way with the official reveal for Need For Speed Unbound

The race is back on with the official reveal for Need For Speed Unbound that we have now. The next in the growing line of racing games from Criterion Games that will place us back on the streets to outrun the cops and do various other things around the game's map. Some of those various things are missions and modes that Need For Speed fans will have a lot of experience with, but it sounds like we will have a few more mixed in to help keep the IP fresh. Something we will get to see in full swing on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on December 2nd this year. Another date that will have so many game titles dropping on us all.

While it is no surprise that we are getting another Need For Speed title, it is interesting to see the art style that the team is going with for this one. In the past, they have usually been on par with each other or in the same vein. Here we are getting hyper-realistic vehicles and cell shading for the characters. This could be due to the need to focus on gameplay and making the cars look amazing, but it is an odd choice in my eyes. Even when you see that we will have so many other customization and cosmetics to go with in Need For Speed Unbound too. Maybe it is to fit the graffiti gameplay we will get to play around with as it is kind of the same style. No matter the case, we will be back on the roads trying to win the races and reclaim a car that was stolen from us and repair a broken friendship. The things that truly matter when it comes to racing games.

Are you enjoying the look of the art style this Need For Speed will have or would it be better for the game to use one main style all throughout? How deep will the other side-mission mechanics be in the game or will they be ignored just for the driving again in this new title? Will the story have a tragic ending or will it still boil down to the "found family" trope that these kinds of stories always have? Sound off in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all until the game launches. There will be more for Need For Speed Unbound, and we will have it here on the site.
