The Twisted Return Of Alice?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 2nd of November 2009 - 01:52 PM ]
So about eight months ago we saw an official announcement that Spicy Horse and EA were working on Alice 2; or Return To Wonderland, or Return Of Alice depending on which release you want to go with on this. In any instance, they announced the next installment and then went completely silent on things for the greater part of the year. Not even a tease or small foot note at any of the gaming conventions. Now enter the below video/teaser. Read More...

Live Action Assassin's Creed Is Here
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 27th of October 2009 - 06:07 PM ]
We spoke about the short film for Assassin's Creed 2 hitting the web today. Also how it will only be available on Ubisoft's youtube account for the next 24 hours, according to them. Well here it is in all of it's live action grandeur. Watch it and marvel at the quality they placed into this short history of Ezio. Now that you have had a chance to take a gander, what do you think? I'd say they have actually gone above and beyond with this little clip. Read More...

Review: Brütal Legend
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 27th of October 2009 - 03:55 PM ]
It's time to transport yourself back to the time of Metal and Rock. Back when the ancient gods of Metal ruled the universe and gave birth to everything we now know as Metal music and Hard Rock. A time where Eddie Riggs ends up and needs to help the humans and their allies bring down the horrors of Gloom Metal and Emo-itude. Oh and take down some big, ugly demons along the way to bring down The Lord of Darkness. Err I mean, Pennywise. Read More...

Review: Saw: The Video Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 20th of October 2009 - 11:37 AM ]
Now I want to start out that this is not a movie based game, at least like all the other movie based games that get pumped out onto the store shelves when a new feature film or the film it is based on is about to hit the big screen. I felt we needed to open with that, because Saw: The Videogame shares only the title and is a continuation off the first film. It is not based of any of the films that have come out or are coming out. It should be considered Saw 1. Read More...

Earthworm Jim Whips It Good!
by Corey Dockendorf [ Monday, 19th of October 2009 - 07:02 PM ]
I remember Jim. The funny earthworm with bionic suit that made so many tounge-in-cheek jokes I could hardly stand it. I had the action figure, I watched the cartoon. I played it on every console that it was available for. Now Jim is returning, guns and blazin', to consoles and handhelds all over the world. Cow launching, check. Laser guns, Check. Read More...

Activision Releases Full Track Listing for Band Hero
by Brian Bentley [ Monday, 19th of October 2009 - 11:55 AM ]
Ahhh, the soothing sounds of a hype train pulling into the station. With two weeks remaining until the release of Band Hero, Activision has now finally released the final set list for the game. On top of that, they divulged methods and pricing for importing the tracks from Band Hero to Guitar Hero 5 and vice versa. As far as the song listing goes, you will utter "Sweet Song!" as many times as you say "Huh? Read More...

Jurassic: The Hunted Is Not The 5th Jurassic Park Film
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Sunday, 18th of October 2009 - 10:39 AM ]
So what is this game then if it isn't the next IP for the Jurassic Park franchise? Pretty much another dinosaur shooter style game with one major twist that others do not have. What would this twist be? Not that you are another space marine traveled through time and space and ends up in a jurassic era, but that you are a "normalish" adventurer and weapons master. That and you have been transported back in time with loads of ammo and weapons to hunt and kill the monstrous and angry dinosaurs of the jurassic era, via the Bermuda Triangle. Yep, that's right. Oh The Brütality Of Assassin's Creed 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 17th of October 2009 - 12:17 PM ]
The combat in the first Assassin's Creed was nothing to write home to mom about. You had the few weapons and the few stances and moves you could employ. You couldn't even use you hidden blades for anything other assassinations and counter moves. It just wasn't all that extravagant. This was something that Ubisoft definitely wanted to fix. That and the variety of guards that you had to take down to move about the game world. Something I know I wished for when going through the first play through. Read More...

When Aliens & Predators Fight, It Sucks To Be Human
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 16th of October 2009 - 04:52 PM ]
Being a lowly space marine seems like the worst thing to be in Aliens Vs. Predator. Just by watching the trailer down below, you get a great sense that most people will only play the Human portion if they are in for a challenge or an Achievement/Trophy whore. I mean come on, the human they show through out the clip is scared poopless the entire clip. To the point where it begs the question right? Then again, I'd be the same way if I was a lowly space marine going up against a retardababy, advanced race of space hunters or even a ridiculously agile and stealthy race of creatures that bleed acid. DJ Hero Renegade 2-CD Pack-in Track List Released
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 15th of October 2009 - 11:49 AM ]
Yesterday, Activision released the track listing for the bonus 2-CD pack of Jay-Z and Eminem for the DJ Hero Renegade Edition. As a person who is readily suspicious of special editions and collector's edition, I had my doubts about DJ Hero's special pack-in when I saw that the jump in price from the regular edition was 80 US Dollars. With Wednesday's track listing release for the big addition to the original product and what exactly it will be, it really begs the question if what you're getting is worth the price of admission. Looking at Gamestop's web listing for DJ Hero Renegade Edition, you get: DJ Hero Renegade Edition Includes the following items: DJ Hero Game Renegade Turntable Controller featuring premium metal controls and finish Hardshell Turntable Carrying Case that converts to performance-ready DJ stand Exclusive JAY-Z and EMINEM 2-CD pack featuring unreleased tracks and collectible case designed by artist Shepard Fairey Looking at the track listing of the 2-CD set and being a fan, albeit not a huge stalker-level fan, I was really impressed at what is being included especially a brand new track. I Think Splatterhouse Could Use More Gore
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 14th of October 2009 - 09:25 AM ]
Wow, it's hard to believe it has been over 20 years since the original Splatterhouse came out in arcades and then ported to the TurboGrafx 16. It was only thought to be remade by BottleRocket Entertainment earlier this year. Now it is all being handled by Namco Bandai Games who took on a few of the collapsed developer. But that is a different tale altogether. This one is all about how things have been progressing for Splatterhouse since the shift. Read More...

The Age Of The Dragon Is Drawing Near!
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 13th of October 2009 - 04:19 PM ]
As previously announced by the Dragon Age: Origins team, the character builder is finally available for download Here. After spending many hours with this game demo at Comic-con this year, and finally getting to see what I am going to make my "first character" look like is quite exciting. It's a little taste of things to come. Players who download the Character Builder will be able to select everything from Gender to Class and see the talent trees we will have to choose from. I must warn you though, the guys over at Dragon Age really outdid themselves this time. Read More...
