Rumor Mill: Assassin's Creed Comet Leads Us Back To Ancient Rome
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of April 2014 - 04:00 PM ]
New rumors have cropped up stating that the rumored Assassin's Creed Comet will take place in Ancient Rome. New rumors about Assassin's Creed Comet rumors have cropped up all based off something stated during an interview with Jade Raymond (Managing Director at Ubisoft Toronto) on The Grid. There is a bit of a stretch taken by other news and blogs sites out there based off one quote but it would be extremely interesting and would give away the next location after Assassin's Creed Unity's French Revolution. Here is the quote based off the question Why has [Assassin's Creed] been so huge? I think the key to a popular game is a good core fantasy. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Ubisoft and NVIDIA have released a new trailer showing off how visually stunning Watch_Dogs will be on the PC. For all of those out there who complained about Watch_Dogs having downgrade visuals I have a new trailer for you to look at. It is a look at how Ubisoft and NVIDIA have 'teamed up' to give us the most visually stunning version of the game we can imagine. In fact, this looks like the visuals that got everyone extremely excited from the original announcement of Watch_Dogs. If you are still doubtful I will let you watch the following trailer in peace right now then follow it up with some more commentary. Read More...

Watch_Dogs Wants To Show You Your Digital Shadow
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 7th of April 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
A new marketing campaign for Watch_Dogs has hit Facebook to show you how much can be gleaned from your account. Just in case you need something to tide you over until Watch_Dogs releases on May 27th, Ubisoft has just turned on its latest marketing fun for us all via a Facebook 'app'. In this case it is a Facebook app called Digital Shadow that is made to look like you are being tracked via your presence on Facebook. Granted this is something that can be done fairly easily due to the fact that most people forget that everything they do online in the real world can become public in the real world, but that is just social commentary mumbo jumbo I'll put aside for now. I personally gave it a whirl and was glad to see that if this were for real no one would truly be able to track me down based on the information I let lose into the virtual world. Read More...

Have A Look At What Will Be In The Watch_Dogs Vigilante Edition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of April 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
Just in case you needed another reason to pick up the Watch_Dogs Vigilante Edition here's a showcasing of the goods. As gamers we sure do love our collector's editions and the Watch_Dogs Vigilante Edition is yet another one to add to the list. For just a bit more that the basic asking price you can get a bunch of other real world and virtual world goodies. In the case of the Vigilante Edition it would replace a few items I have lost recently do to "act of dog" which would completely make it worth the extra money. If only it was possible to find it as a non-European exclusive to pre-order right now. Read More...

Welcome To The Watch_Dogs Version Of Chicago
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of March 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Watch_Dogs to show off the city that we will be spending hours hacking. Do the character models look downgraded? Just as to be assumed with any title based in a real world location, we have a new trailer showing us the Chicago of the Watch_Dogs universe. There seems to be a lot less dancing and singing in this Chicago if my entertainment versions of the city are anywhere near accurate of the city. Ok, that is a pretty limited scope there all in the basis of a joke but we really do have a look at the Chicago of Watch_Dogs. Have a watch and any of you Chicago-ites… Chicagoans… residents of the real Chicago let us know what you think as todays tech should be getting close to recreating our loved cities. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 24th of March 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
Nine new screen shots for The Division have been released and we have them below. Just a lack of game details though. The Division is still looking top notch. It should, given how powerful the Snowdrop engine's tools have been shown to be. Well, we have a few more new screens for The Division down below for us all to look at. Nine new images that show what looks like all in-game images given the names hovering over other characters in the scene. What seems to be grabbing all the attention from everyone here is that these new screens for The Division are mainly focused on nighttime gameplay. Read More...

Well Ubisoft has just placed a hidden blade into the neck of that rumor and confirmed that Assassin's Creed Unity is a real thing and is coming this "Holiday Season." New details on the PS3 & PS4 Watch_Dogs exclusive content have been announced. Here is what we are getting. If you have been waffling on which platform to get Watch_Dogs on we have some new information to help you make up your mind. The wait is now over though as we have a trailer showing off the four extra missions that add said gameplay. Not only that but a new costume and in-game perk. Read More...

Rumor Mill: Assassin's Creed Unity Is The New Next Gen Iteration
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of March 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A handful of screen shots have surfaced for the next Assassin's Creed title, Assassin's Creed Unity. Will we see why the French have their stereotype here? So it looks like we have the next Assassin's Creed title in the way of Assassin's Creed Unity. It looks like some new screens have surfaced on Kotaku from a "credible anonymous source" showing off an early version of the game. I do mean early if these really are "leaked" screen shots as well as the models, textures, and environments look a bit shabby for the PS4, Xbox One, or PC. Well more the Xbox One given the controller scheme that can be seen in the upper corner of the screens. Read More...

New Dev Diary For The Snowdrop Engineâ¦Oh, & Some The Division Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 19th of March 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new developer diary for the Snowdrop Engine has surfaced from GDC. Learn about the engine a bit and see some gameplay for The Division. This is going to be yet another of my famous, I wish, talks about game engines and where they have advanced; specifically the Snowdrop engine again. If you are unfamiliar with the Snowdrop engine, it is what Ubisoft and Massive have built for the upcoming title The Division. I've also pined over this engine a bit in the past and it will keep going like that as we keep getting videos that show off its power. The kind that I have provided a little bit lower. Read More...

Review: South Park: The Stick Of Truth
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of March 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review South Park The Stick of Truth. Was it worth the delays and the hype? Is this their Magnum Opus? The moment has arrived, finally. South Park: The Stick Of Truth has finally launched and I have had the chance to give the turn-based-RPG a good play. Matt and Trey were hoping that they wouldn't be getting a 4/10 on Gamespot or any other crappy reviews for the game. How do you think they fared? Let me break it down for you and let you know what I think and if it is worth your time and money. Read More...

Looks Like Watch Dogs Will Let You Hack Anything, Including Steam Pipes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 7th of March 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
We have a few more Watch Dogs screen shots to help expand on how the game looks and what you can hack. Yesterday we got a release date for Watch Dogs and a story trailer. Also peppered in were a few new rumors and speculation that have been debunked. Things like resolution lowering and features removed from Watch Dogs. Also things that I won't touch on as they appear to be all internet hearsay and/or small blogs trying to grab attention. For shame all of you. Read More...

Watch Dogs Info 'Leaked' Too But At Least There Is A Release Date
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of March 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
Watch Dogs has had its release date and story trailer 'leaked' but confirmed by Ubisoft. Finally it is coming out. Here we go with yet another 'leak' of information and this time it is for Watch Dogs from Ubisoft. As I looked over the internet and media this morning it almost seemed like everyone and their cousin's sister's former roommate was talking about this 'leaked' trailer and date. About an hour after this, the official twitter account for the game confirmed and posted all the details including the following story trailer for Watch Dogs. Just as with the other 'leaks' I think this was more planned or a slip up while uploading the trailer to YouTube. Read More...

South Park The Stick Of Truth Gets Even More Censorship
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 25th of February 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
South Park The Stick Of Truth is hit with further censorship. This time in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. What is being taken out? It's games like South Park The Stick Of Truth that make me happy to live in a country that doesn't openly censor entertainment content. I won't go down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories about that in the US but on a whole it isn't done as much as it seems to happen outside. Personally it is a little shocking what makes it in this nation of prudes but not other, more open cultures but it would seem that in this case we in the US are okay with anal probing as a whole. Jesting and personal views aside, below we have a lift of scenes that have had about 20 second edits to the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of South Park The Stick Of Truth in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
