We Happy Few The latest DLC for We Happy Few is out there now and you can get a small taste of it before shelling out a bit more for We Happy Few here There is new DLC out there to play for We Happy Few as you are reading this. Not a huge surprise for those who picked up the Season Pass for the game, but there could be some of the more casual players of the game out there that did not know this was coming. At least for those who interested in seeing how this horror title is being put together and just what Supermassive Games will be using to freak us out. There are so many aspects to it all that can be used to build tension and fear and this time we get to see the lighting and camera work side of it all. It is interesting to know that many out there still do not get this and it is most likely why Man Of Medan will scare them more and more. Read More...

Have A New Lesson On The Gameplay Of Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of April 2019 - 09:00 PM ]
Ancestors A new developer series for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey has started with the first going into the exploration of Ancestors’ map A new taste for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is here in the way of a developer diary of sorts to take us on a bit more of the exploration in the game. Specifically that feature in the game as Panache Digital Games has opted to leave out the maps for us and require us to do it all on our own. Not the worst of ideas, but it will be a shift from what we know in open world games like Ancestors. Read More...

Head Down To Your Watery Grave This Summer With Man Of Medan
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of March 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Man Of Medan The release window for Man Of Medan is set down for this Summer and we have a new look at the dangerous waters of Man Of Medan It looks like more horror is on its way this Summer as it looks like Man Of Medan has been given that new window for release. That could mean so much as it is a fairly open window, but it is what Supermassive Games has placed down there now. All of which comes from the latest developer diary for Man Of Medan where they also go into the waters and boats used in the game and how they captured it all. Spoiler alert, they used real boats and water wake to do it all then stripped it apart to mix in properly. Read More...

When in July? Well it looks like Machine Games is aiming for a July 26th release for all of this. A nice little Summer release for us to enjoy as we cool off and head to virtual Paris during the 80s in an alternate history where the Nazis control most of the world. We are also on the hunt for the main Wolfenstein protagonist as BJ is missing and it is up to his daughters to go find him. Read More...

Moons Of Madness Is Announced & Taking Our Fears Further Into Space
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 26th of March 2019 - 07:00 PM ]
Moons Of Madness A new cosmic horror title, Moons Of Madness, is announced with Moons Of Madness diving into the horrors of sanity in the vast void of space The cosmic horror trend continues as we have another title in the vein of it all announced with Moons Of Madness. This is not to say it is a bad thing, but it does look like the shift for the year is going strong with Rock Pocket Games digging into it as well for this Halloween. I will always take a good horror game for that time of year. Also, given the fact that Moons Of Madness looks to be taking on some of the better aspects of some of my other favorite space-themed horror games, I will take it all again. Read More...

Control Is ready For Pre-Order With An August Release Set Down
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 26th of March 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Control The release date for Control is now confirmed and we can also see all the extras we can get with Control if we choose to pre-order It looks like the rumor and ‘leaks’ were true as Control will be dropping out there on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on August 27th. This comes shortly after the date popping up on the Xbox Market place and instead of trying to deny it all, Remedy has just accepted things and opted to give it all to us. Not the biggest of news there for Control, but it does lead into some new gameplay and other things for us to take in and see if we are ready to throw down some cash. I am sure that 505 Games will like that so they can see a nice little return for a game that looks to be the next big thing from the developers they are helping out. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of March 2019 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Such a huge week for all video games this was and I am not talking about just having GDC come and go. While there was a whole lot that came out of that, there was also a whole lot that came out outside of the major convention. From the multiple announcements from the various System Shock titles to the constant updates of Mortal Kombat 11 we also had. All to the biggest news, for me at least, with Bloodline 2 having the announcement and more coming to Mutant Year Zero. Read More...

Control Has A Bit Of New Gameplay To Show Off New Technologies
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of March 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Control During GDC 2019, new gameplay for Control was shown to give us a look at the game as well as how Real-Time Ray Tracing will affect Control Just as we all assumed at this point, GDC 2019 has already started off by giving us a look at some of the technologies coming to our video games and we get to see more for Control here. For this title we are seeing just how Remedy will be using some of the new Real-Time Ray Tracing for the game to make shadows look a bit crisper and the lighting feels a little more authentic. Among many other things too, but that is the main focus for this new video for Control by doing the usual gameplay with the settings turned on and then off at times. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of March 2019 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week The week is over and it is time to take a deserved break with more video games. This time in the way of actually getting to play them and not just write about them. Not that we did not like the fact that Ashes Of Oahu now has a set timeline to release or that The Division 2 had so many updates before we can play it now. I would rather just be playing that hearing all of the teases out there. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 11th of March 2019 - 05:00 PM ]
Control A new deep dive into the abilities of Control is out there where we get to see the different abilities and powers we will wield in Control We finally have some new updates for Control to look at and this one goes all in on the abilities and powers we will get to use in the game. Not that we did not have a clue what we would be seeing from Remedy in this form as we have seen all of the telekinetic abilities and the gun in past trailers. Now we get to find out that there is a bit more to it all than we previously thought. It still boils down to two main things in Control in this form, but we have the chance to see how we will be able to use them all in the game. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 3/4/19 — 3/8/19
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 9th of March 2019 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week One more week in the bag and all kinds of stuff was out there for our favorite video games. It felt like the same rollercoaster we have been used to as of late with the ups and downs and teases. Just like the new gameplay we had for Days Gone and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Also some new stuff for Mortal Kombat 11 and sadly a delay to The Sinking City. Read More...
