One of the things I had to ask the Sony and in turn the Home people was about the content of Home. They didn't want to comment much on the failed release time frames, but that's ok. What they did have to show as well as inform me on. First, the long awaited Helghast skin for your Home toon to wear. Read More...

3D Vision With NVidia and Panasonic So you think that the games and movies you watch are 3D. Well at least rendered that way. They are, but your eyes of course still only process it still in 2D. Meaning you don't get any depth processed into your brain. That is where the two above companies stepped up and said "Hey! Lets go one step further." Exact same monitors and connections. The only difference is the systems they were running on. Read More...

HP Firebird 803 tower So when I first heard about this little marvel, I was a little skeptical. It just did not look like ti would have the power behind what was claimed. Killzone 2 at CES 2009 Killzone 2 at CES 2009 So while palling around the Sony booth at this years CES, I stumbled upon the area where they had Killzone 2 set up. That was until I bumped into Kyle Shubel, Managing Producer for Killzone, and he offered up a taste of the game. So being me, I walked away with my head hung low startled that someone talked to me. BREAKING A RECORD
by Stephanie Naboshek [ Saturday, 7th of June 2008 - 04:26 AM ]
What person hasn't thought about breaking a world record at least once in their lifetime? I remember as a kid - the Guinness books were the ones most often checked out at our schools library, so when the chance arose to finally be in the book itself, I was more excited than a fat kid in a cake factory (no offense to any of you fat kids ;p ). Every year thousands of people gather at the Dallas based anime convention, A-KON in a weekend that can only be described as PEACE, LOVE and POCKY. This year's convention though seemly the same, had one major difference - Guinness Book of World Records was there to witness our world-record breaking skills at work! Read More...

A NEW WORLD RECORD!
by Stephanie Naboshek [ Tuesday, 3rd of June 2008 - 05:40 AM ]
This last weekend, I joined my fellow A-KON 19 goers in a gathering of monsterous proportions. After 3 long hours of waiting, dehydration, an upset firemarshal and plently of waiting in line, 669* of us broke the record, "MOST PEOPLE DRESSED AS VIDEOGAME CHARACTERS IN ONE GATHERING". Now although the number was only 669*, I can assure you that the total number of people qualified at the con was in the 1,000s.I was proud to be amongst the many who went through an afternoon of choas to get the job done. Congratulations to everyone out there who participated!! Read More...
