THQ Is Back In Action Thanks To Nordic Games & Rebranding
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of August 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
THQ In an interesting turn of events THQ is sort of back as Nordic Games has rebranded itself to THQ Nordic and has a load of games in development Talk about a way to end this week on as it looks like THQ is coming back after shutting down back in 2013. Not the direct company and employees that were let go but it looks like Nordic Games has chosen to rebrand themselves now they own the rights to a whole lot of successful IPs and names they picked up back then. Their new name is now THQ Nordic and they are coming out swinging with some amazing news. Some of that news being that they have at least 13 titles in the works already that we have yet to hear about and many others that we should all know very well by now. Read More...

Darksiders The rumored remaster of Darksiders has now become a reality as the Darksiders Warmastered Edition is heading to current gen systems this October If you were like me and questioning why we had the second Darksiders game remastered and no word on the first title, then you'll be glad to see that we now have the answer. I am glad to say that we now have the Darksiders Warmastered Edition announced and coming to our PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, or PC on October 25th of this year. Read More...

Review â Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 18th of November 2015 - 03:00 PM ]
Darksiders 2 We Sit Down And Review The Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition. After Almost Three Years And Some Graphics Updates, Does The Game Still Hold Up? Here's Our Review Of The Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition It is hard to believe that it has been three years now since Darksiders 2 first graced us all. During that release time I fell in love with it and was looking forward to the future of the franchise. Even though it is still up in the air I was curious to see how the game would hold up to the PS4 and Xbox One generations and see if it was a fluke before. Read More...

Have A Good Look At The Advancements Of The Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of October 2015 - 03:00 PM ]
Darksiders 2 The release trailer for the Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition has been released and now we can see all those upgraded Darksiders 2 visuals in action Next week is the big week as the Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition is going to be released and I couldn't be more excited for this. Up until now we have yet to see any solid gameplay with the updates that Gunfire Games has been able to make to Darksiders 2 so far but now we have a nice long trailer showing off all of those said updates and to get us even more hyped for it to hit the PS4 and Xbox One on October 27th. Such an amazing franchise and I hope the first Darksiders gets the same treatment and we get the ever-sought-after Darksiders 3. Anyways, up until now we have mainly had only screenshots to see for the Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition so this is a nice little treat here. Read More...

Like I said before it looks like Gunfire Games and Nordic Games wanted to get this amazing title back out in time for Halloween and the end of October. Hopefully the awesome PR for the Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition will start to crop up now that the date has been announced and Death rides again soon. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of July 2015 - 01:00 PM ]
According to Amazon we now have a release date for Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition as well as how much we will be paying for the HD version of Darksiders 2 and its DLC It looks like we now have a release date for the Darksiders 2: The Deathinitive Edition; at least if you want to take what Amazon currently has listed completely to heart. It's not like they were wrong before when they posted all of the other HD versions of Nordic Games' properties were coming. The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter Is Appearing On PS4 Real Soon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 6th of July 2015 - 03:00 PM ]
Looks like the wait is over as the PS4 version of The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter is slated for a July 15th release date now Hopefully by now all of you reading this know about The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter as it released on PC last year and was well received by many. This would be that amazing looking supernatural adventure title created by The Astronauts that even we spoke highly of back in the day. This was also back when we heard it was being redone in the Unreal 4 engine and also getting a PS4 release scheduled but there was never any word on when after all the great reviews began pouring in for the first release of The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter. All of that changes now. Read More...

Our First Look At The Upgrades To The Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of June 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
We have the first batch of screen shots to compare Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition to the original Darksiders 2 version to see how far the game has evolved Not that long ago now we had the official announcement for the Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition coming from Gunfire Games to bring the franchise to a new generation of fans out there wanting to give the franchise a chance but only got into things at the start of the PS4 and Xbox One days. That wasn't too long ago but you know, money and the want to push the Darksiders franchise forward require a new version of Darksiders 2 to be pumped out there. I won't complain as it will give me another new reason to don the Death mask and hop back into the fun and amazing universe designed by Nordic Games; even though this is another HD remaster of sorts. Death Rides Again With The Darksiders 2: The Deathinitive Edition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of June 2015 - 05:01 PM ]
It has been officially announced that Darksiders 2 is getting a PS4 and Xbox One release in the way of the Darksiders 2: The Deathinitive Edition A bit earlier in the year we heard rumors that Darksiders 2 was going to be getting the next gen upgrade after Nordic Games purchased the franchise during the fall of THQ. At least it was all rumor and conjecture given a few product pages that popped up on Amazon. Not all too much else was said about it and it all kind of fell to the side. Read More...

Darksiders 2 & Other Nordic Games Titles May Be Going Next Gen
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of February 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
New listings on Amazon show a Darksiders 2 Definitive edition as well as a few other Nordic Games titles coming to the PS4 and Xbox One I'd start by saying that the Darksiders 2: Definitive Edition for the PS4 and Xbox One was a rumor except that as of this time Amazon Still has the page live for pre-order from Nordic Games. So pretty much we can expect to see Death gracing our next gen systems sometime this year after being remastered by Nordic Games. Some may scoff at the idea of another "remaster" title coming out instead of a brand new IP but Darksiders 2 was a title that I personally think everyone should play and very few did so on the PS3 and Xbox 360 so here is a chance to remedy that gamers. It's Time To See What The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Is All About
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new bit of gameplay for The Vanishing of Ethan Carter has been released showing off some of the core mechanics and story of the game When I first heard about The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter I kind of let it fall a bit to the side of the metaphoric video game road. I didn't disregard the game completely but with the little description I was given it just wasn't something that caught my eye and sucked me in. That was at least until we got some new gameplay footage for The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter and got to fully see what we will be doing on our PCs and PS4s in the coming months. Sooner on the PC but that is a whole other discussion. Read More...

There Is Still Hope For Another Darksiders Title To Come To Light
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 12th of May 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
Joe Madureira, former Creative Director for Darksiders, has indicated that the franchise is not dead. To all of you Darksiders fans out there it looks like there is still hope for another title in the franchise even though the original publisher has gone the way of the Dodo. According to Joe Madureira, you will know him as the Creative Director for Darksiders, "Nordic Games seems very committed to continuing the series." At least this was part of a recent Facebook posting from the former Creative Director. So that pretty much means that there is a great possibility and nothing set in stone as of yet. Read More...

Under The Radar: Painkiller HD
by Matt Waitt [ Tuesday, 13th of November 2012 - 05:29 PM ]
The original 2004 PC classic known only as Painkiller has received the HD treatment. I'm not talking the "crappy HD" kind either. Announced back at this year's E3, the HD remake of Painkiller is out right now! for PC. XBox 360 and PS3 owners are going to have to duke it out for another couple of months as their versions will be available come January 22nd, 2013. I loved the original Painkiller with its tons of insane, over-the-top weapons, like the Stake Launcher or the double barreled Shotgun with a liquid nitrogen alt fire. I spent many hours pushing my crappy desktop PC to its limits and beyond while playing Painkiller and every single moment was worth it. Read More...
