 Mirror's Edge: a PS3 timed exclusive?
by Nikole [ Sunday, 24th of August 2008 - 10:21 PM ]
During the Games Conference in Leipzig, Heise.de, a German tech site, quoted SCEE president: David Reeves while discussing th future of Mirror's Edge. In the quote he claims that Mirror's Edge will be a timed PS3 exclusive, similar to the way RockBand 2 is being released for the Xbox 360. This of course would go against all of EA's past trends of releasing everything at once on every possible console. "We are continuously, month after month publishing new titles that bring something unique and target different groups. In a month it’s Gran Turismo, in the next SingStar, and Third-Party Title’s such as EA’s Mirror’s Edge are all part of the strategy. Read More...

PS3 Gets A Shocking!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of August 2008 - 08:51 PM ]
BioShock Dated And Given Extras So those of you who have heard the hype about Bioshock but were too lazy to get it on the PC or XBox, or only have a PS3, you might have known that it was getting a PS3 release. Well, today it was dated for the gaming world. That's right, the 21st of October. Not bad timing, except that Dead Space is coming out around the same time. But I doubt that will hurt them any. Especially with the extras being offered for the new PS3 version of the game. Read More...

You Sneaking Monkeys
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of August 2008 - 01:51 AM ]
You Sneaking Monkeys How To Get Into The Home Beta Let it be said that I hate my new work arrangements. Hence why my news bits have been a bit sparse. Should be fixed soon. But enough about me. What is it I say about getting into this other exclusive beta for the PS3? Well, it seems Sony is expanding out their user base for this new service. Not to mention the length of Beta before the public beta hits. I count 2 years in the making now. Read More...

Namco Bandai announced last week that their hit game series IdolM@ster will be released for the Sony PSP this winter in Japan, as not 1 title, but 3 seperate titles.  For those not familiar with the IdolM@ster series, the game is a virtual simulator where you create your very own Japanese Music Idol.  You handle their schedule, costumes, song choices, and happiness/stress levels, to create the #1 Idol.  The series has been a huge hit in arcades and one of the biggest hits on the Xbox 360 in Japan. Trophies For Another Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 31st of July 2008 - 04:47 PM ]
PixelJunk Eden: Oh Glorious Gardens...and Did We Mention Trophies? So it looks like last night on the PSBlog, a little bit was posted on the new PSN game PixelJunk Eden. To be perfectly honest, I haven't tried the first version of this game and most likely won't try this one. Just doesn't look like my kind of game. But I thought it was worth a mention. Now, I bet you are thinking to yourself "Why the fuck even bring this up then? Read More...

Zombie Plan 101
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of July 2008 - 05:42 PM ]
The Last Guy Gameplay Video So at last week's E3 show, Sony announced a game called *The Last Guy. Pretty much a game a lot like Infected on the PSP. You run around and save people who are too stupid to save themselves and guide them to a secure location for evacuation. Good concept. Worked for me in the past. But then add on the fact they are going to be using Google Maps for the actual locations to guide people. So real locations will be used. Read More...

I was trying to videos for you before I posted, so, here we go. Resistance II Like I said, not much to talk about for this one. They brought up the coop and multi player game stuff and that was it. Nothing we didn't know already. Read More...

What I Missed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of July 2008 - 06:05 PM ]
So due to real life BS, I missed out on reporting a few new and cool things yesterday, so I am going to hook up the cut now. Gotta thank one of my favorite sites to keep things up to date for me when that shit happens. But enough about me, here's what you really want to read about. Halo Wars: Two New Clips So due out early next year, is the new Halo RTS. I'm sure you Halo fans have already eaten all of this stuff up. But below is a very nice looking, pre-rendered, video for the game giving a bit of the story the RTS will revolve around. Read More...

PSN Releases
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of July 2008 - 09:16 PM ]
For 7/10/2008 So there is a huge list of new things this week if you are a PS3 owner. And live in the US. I hate seeing that Europe gets screwed over almost every week when it comes time for new stuff. Makes me feel a little bad. But if you guys over there are a little crafty and got a US account on your system, I totally say check out the Siren stuff. I have yet to download it, but from the videos I have seen online, it looks to be amazing. And then there are the new RHCP songs for Rock Band. Read More...

Atlus Announces Persona 4 Coming to US on 12/9/08
by Michael Camacho [ Sunday, 6th of July 2008 - 07:13 PM ]
Yesterday, July 3rd, Atlus announced that Persona 2 will be coming to American PS2s this December 12th 2008.  It was inevitable the game would be coming here considering the acclaim Persona 3 received from critics and gamers alike.  The only question was when, and Atlus answered.  Persona 4 takes place in a Japanese countryside at Gekkkoukan High, where a mysterious string of murders have taken place, and of course it's up to you and your team to find the answers.  Persona 3 introduced an interesting relationship system in which you had to build friendships to help boost abilities and teamwork.  In Persona 4 that system returns along with crafting weapons and even having part-time jobs. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 30th of June 2008 - 05:34 PM ]
Firmware (v.2.40) Walkthrough So, I've been a little late in the game for posting this. Sorry about that, but I have teased about it. I swear I have. But here is the whole skinny on this new update. Watch the videos below and then continue down for more of my thoughts and details. If you care that much. Ok, so watching those, I'm pretty psyched about this new firmware. It gives a few things I have wanted for a while. Read More...
