Mount Up!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 12th of August 2008 - 01:43 AM ]
Mount & Blade Beta More of a blurb more than news I guess, but I figured I'd let you fans of trying out Betas know about this. Basically, if you like medieval type games, here is the link for Mount & Blade. Oh, and for a bit more, below be ye olde website blurb about the game. "Calradia is a land at war, a land offering great riches and even greater dangers to the adventurers and mercenaries that flock to shed blood on its soil. With unerring courage and a strong sword, an unknown stranger can make a name as a warrior. Lead a band of hardened soldiers, become the lord of several towns and castles, and perhaps one day you may wield the power to overthrow kings and crown new ones at your discretion. Read More...

You Sneaking Monkeys
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of August 2008 - 01:51 AM ]
You Sneaking Monkeys How To Get Into The Home Beta Let it be said that I hate my new work arrangements. Hence why my news bits have been a bit sparse. Should be fixed soon. But enough about me. What is it I say about getting into this other exclusive beta for the PS3? Well, it seems Sony is expanding out their user base for this new service. Not to mention the length of Beta before the public beta hits. I count 2 years in the making now. Read More...

You just need to sign into their site and click the Opt-In button when they ask for you to. Start PWNing Other Worlds
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 30th of April 2008 - 03:55 PM ]
Stargate Worlds Closed Beta Registration Now Open I liked the movie. There were a few good episodes of the show. I actually enjoyed playing the Table Top RPG game based on the world. So I'm actually kind of excited about this new MMO. Not sure if it will be able to addict me to MMOs, but it will get my cash when it launches. Just as it will get my time if I am chosen for the Beta. I say chosen just for the fact that the registration form doesn't ask for anything more than your connection speed. Read More...

Finally Something Good
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of April 2008 - 05:23 PM ]
Something Good About The MGO Beta So I was getting really down about all the hoops and crap going along with MGO so far. Read my other Narticles about it, but there have been a load of set backs in my opinion. Then this flies into my view, and you know what? I'm a bit stoked to get in on Friday now, pending any further set backs that Konami might have before that time. The video below shows the Character Creation process for the game. It's not too long and a little bit of sound. Read More...

PWNED Beta Watch
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of April 2008 - 05:08 PM ]
Quake Live Not too much of an article, but more of a quick blurb on the new Beta that people can get involved in. It's a web-based game that was announced back in February of this year. The release on it is below so you can check that out. Oh, almost forgot, the best part about this sign up, it only requires one email address to sign up and not the 2 User names and a pre-order like other betas I have talked about. Check It Out IGA Worldwide Partners with id Software on Forthcoming QUAKE LIVE title IGA Selected Exclusive Provider of Advertiser Sponsorships; In-Game Brand Integration Opportunities within Revolutionary QUAKE LIVE Portal San Francisco, CA- February 19, 2008 -IGA Worldwide Inc., the leading independent in-game advertising network announced today from the 2008 Game Developer Conference that it has partnered with id Software to manage all advertising, sponsorship and creative branding opportunities within the forthcoming QUAKE LIVE web site and free-to-play version of the popular action series. Don't Get PWNed Over MGO
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of April 2008 - 04:21 PM ]
Metal Gear Monday Ok...so this is fucked up. First, I have to go out and search for a store that has the Metal Gear pre-order. An elusive thing, I just lucked out I have an awesome person on the inside at my local GameStop. She's awesome /much love. But in any instance, I get the hook up. Make my pre-order and get the DVD that has the activation key in it. So I'm a happy cat. Except for that it states that the key is invalid when I go to put it in. Read More...

More Intel On An Elusive Beta
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of March 2008 - 04:53 PM ]
Metal Gear Saga Vol. 2 / Online Beta disc I saw this on the IGN boards and thought it would be good to pass on to the rest of Pwned. A user there had just received their Metal Gear Pre-order disc and posted all about what it comes with. I'll save you the time of describing it here and just list it below, but the main tidbit that I know people have wanted to know is about the Beta; the open beta for MGS Online to be more exact. We all know that the disk has a code and such that you will need to input to get the download, but the dates of the beta and when it will be available is new info. Apparently, you will be able to DL the Beta on the 17th of April, but you won't actually be able to do anything with it until the 21st of April. Read More...

Premature Game Betalation...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 17th of March 2008 - 04:00 PM ]
Metal Gear Online beta test schedule changed to April 14 I go away for a few days and the interwebs blow up on me and now I'm back logged. But that's...ok... That just means I get to come back and bring some fun good news with me. Like say for instance, the previously announced Metal Gear Online beta test is now scheduled for a week earlier. Awesome right? So now it will be out come the 14th of April now instead of the 21st. Read More...

Momma I'm Coming Home...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of March 2008 - 03:51 PM ]
Viacom withdraws 'Guitar' suit Just goes to show you that when things look down, something good comes along to pick ya back up. And for any PS3 owner, here is a good one for ya. It looks that Sony is sending out e-mails to people who have registered their unit (Heh, I said unit.), that they can register in for the open beta for their new social network Home. So far, this e-mail has only been seen by members of the Official European PlayStation Forums. The report makes it seem like there is more than just one person stating this, at least out of Europe. GarageGames Places InstantAction.com Into Open Beta So I have been puttering around on this since it was in Closed Beta. Now I bet you are wondering,"Hades, what is InstantAction?" Well here's what I got for ya. It is a website that uses a mixture of flash and a new engine that the people at Garage Games have put together to do some pretty cool applications and games on the interwebs. Brainscan 2.0 (Am I The Only One Who Saw That Film?)
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of March 2008 - 05:56 AM ]
Emotiv EPOC™ Needs Beta Tester So I posted before about how Emotiv was bringing a controller onto the market that used brain waves to control the game. It was in the old news section before you start searching for it. There were a few videos of other reporters using the device to lift in game items or make them vanish. The ultimate Jedi training simulator. Well now it looks like they are ready to push forward with the whole thing and push it into closed beta. Read More...
