Take A Glimpse Into Final Fantasy XIV
by Kevin [ Thursday, 17th of December 2009 - 03:27 PM ]
Well, the beta test application site for Final Fantasy XIV has opened up, and while the beta may only be for the PC, it is a great chance for those interested to poke around in what could be a fantastic MMO experience. For the curious, the requirements are: Be at least 18 years of age Possess a Square Enix ID account (Register for a Square Enix ID account here, if you don't have one already) Possess an internet connection Be capable of downloading large amounts of data Be capable of submitting bug reports in either Japanese, English, French, or German Like any other beta test, there will be several waves and opportunities to enter the beta so don't be discouraged if you don't make it in initially. For those looking for the PS3 experience, it seems that will be revealed "at a later date." Despite that, 2010 is going to be the year for this game's release, and I, for one, am excited. Enter The City With Your Mac
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 30th of October 2008 - 04:55 PM ]
NCsoft and TransGaming Announce City of Heroes for the Mac So it's been a long time coming, but it is finally going to happen. So good news for those Mac players that have yet to get addicted to WoW. But one of the other best MMOs will be easily available for those who love to game with a Mac. Why someone would do that I don't know. Sorry personal opinion. But the details, at least the shorter version, is that there will be a public Beta of the Mac version available before the Holiday Season around the same time the next Issue (patch) comes out. Start PWNing Other Worlds
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 30th of April 2008 - 03:55 PM ]
Stargate Worlds Closed Beta Registration Now Open I liked the movie. There were a few good episodes of the show. I actually enjoyed playing the Table Top RPG game based on the world. So I'm actually kind of excited about this new MMO. Not sure if it will be able to addict me to MMOs, but it will get my cash when it launches. Just as it will get my time if I am chosen for the Beta. I say chosen just for the fact that the registration form doesn't ask for anything more than your connection speed. Read More...

More Intel On An Elusive Beta
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 28th of March 2008 - 04:53 PM ]
Metal Gear Saga Vol. 2 / Online Beta disc I saw this on the IGN boards and thought it would be good to pass on to the rest of Pwned. A user there had just received their Metal Gear Pre-order disc and posted all about what it comes with. I'll save you the time of describing it here and just list it below, but the main tidbit that I know people have wanted to know is about the Beta; the open beta for MGS Online to be more exact. We all know that the disk has a code and such that you will need to input to get the download, but the dates of the beta and when it will be available is new info. Apparently, you will be able to DL the Beta on the 17th of April, but you won't actually be able to do anything with it until the 21st of April. Read More...

Momma I'm Coming Home...
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of March 2008 - 03:51 PM ]
Viacom withdraws 'Guitar' suit Just goes to show you that when things look down, something good comes along to pick ya back up. And for any PS3 owner, here is a good one for ya. It looks that Sony is sending out e-mails to people who have registered their unit (Heh, I said unit.), that they can register in for the open beta for their new social network Home. So far, this e-mail has only been seen by members of the Official European PlayStation Forums. The report makes it seem like there is more than just one person stating this, at least out of Europe. The Garage Opens Up
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 10th of March 2008 - 05:36 PM ]
GarageGames Places InstantAction.com Into Open Beta So I have been puttering around on this since it was in Closed Beta. Now I bet you are wondering,"Hades, what is InstantAction?" Well here's what I got for ya. It is a website that uses a mixture of flash and a new engine that the people at Garage Games have put together to do some pretty cool applications and games on the interwebs. InstantAction.com is the site where it can all be checked out and enjoyed. Read More...
