If you were wondering even more about that M for Mature rating that Batman: Arkham Knight is going to be hit with then man do we have an insane new trailer to show you for the game. Rocksteady isn't messing around when they state that this is going to be the Batman title to wrap up their franchise as well as have a dark story. Just the rules that are laid out by the Scarecrow in the below trailer kind of dictates that Gotham is going to be something akin to the world in The Walking Dead with little to no rules and "might is right."
I truly don't want to hold you back from seeing the latest trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight so just go for it if you haven't already.
Batman: Arkham Knight — Gotham Is Mine
Not only was there a whole lot of mayhem and extra violence here but we were able to see a few of the other villains that Batman: Arkham Knight will be bringing back and hopefully in a more proactive capacity. We saw Poison Ivy and a better shot at The Riddler. Hopefully in Batman: Arkham Knight they will no longer be small side adventures that waste a bit of time and stretch the game out but some great drama added into the mix. I don't know about you but using The Riddler as the collectible/challenge side missions seems like an under-utilization to me. Then again he is my third favorite of the villains and Scarecrow already has the lead in Arkham Knight.
There is a wider array of darker characters that Rocksteady could use again or introduce in Batman: Arkham Knight and I hope that is part of the plan. I've always loved the nods from before but as they want to "go out with a bang" here I think all of them need to have stepped up their game. At least enough to not overshadow the fully new villain of the Arkham Knight I guess. But I am only one brain here. What say you? Let us, Rocksteady, and Warner Bros. know your thoughts in the comments below. Maybe even Batman or the Arkham Knight will see them too.
