Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodhunt Has Set The Trap Out There For Us

Bloodhunt

The Bloodhunt is about to start with Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodhunt launching out there with a cinematic

April 27th will see loads of new players flood into Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodhunt on the PC and PS5. That is when it is officially launching after Sharkmob ran all of those playtests and closed betas before. I know I have been excited to get into the final build for it all and see how the Bloodhunt will flow now. Not to mention, to see if there is an over-arching narrative that goes along with it in the final form or if it was just going to be a free-for-all battle in the streets. Well, with the latest trailer highlighting the fact, it does look like we will have a bit more in the mix beyond just draining everyone of blood.

It looks like we have a bit more to the narrative for Bloodhunt here that seems to steer away from what the term normally means in the setting and goes into what it means in the real world. For those that do not know, usually, the term is used for a vampire that has been stripped of all rights to live in the world and all vampires are allowed to hunt them down freely and with no punishments. In this version, it is sounding more like the Knights Templar and hunter groups are setting out for their own bloodhunt and using some of the vampire laws to sow all kinds of chaos to make it easier on them. An interesting take, but it feels like it changes up what the game was originally about to me. At least in the terms of the narrative. Outside of that, it looks as if things are functioning just as normal but we will see for certain on the 27th.
