Vampire: The Masquerade Is Getting Another Title For Us To Enjoy

Vampire

A new narrative entry for the Vampire: The Masquerade franchise is coming with many ties to the tabletop version of Vampire

There is a lot of buzz for the World Of Darkness as of late and it looks like we get to add another entry into the excitement in terms of Vampire: The Masquerade. No, we are not talking about Bloodlines 2 in this aspect but in a new announcement that came out of Bigben Interactive's recent game showcase. That would be the same publisher who is working on the Werewolf title. Now it looks like they have licensed out Vampire: The Masquerade for a new narrative game based on the tabletop version. All from Big Bad Wolf. That would be the developer that brought us the amazing game called The Council.

Outside of this, there is almost nothing more to go on for this Vampire game. In fact, the logo shows up in the showcase below but is not called out by name until you read through the press release that was placed out there as well. All of which is below and states everything that we have mentioned already. Although, it is worth noting that they are using the logo for the 5th edition of Vampire: The Masquerade and not any of the others. This could mean we may be getting a story set in the newer setting and not the older one. That is purely speculation at this point though.

Communique De Presse: Bigben Launches The 4th Edition Of Bigben Week With A String Of Announcement

Great Project In The Works

After a first foray into the World of Darkness universe with Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood, Bigben is proud to announce that its partnership with Paradox will be extended and that a game under the Vampire: The Masquerade license is in development. Developed by Big Bad Wolf, creators of the episodic adventure game The Council, the game aims to define a new genre: the narrative RPG, inspired by the rules of the tabletop RPG. The studio will share more information at Gamescom in August.

What do you think about getting a new Vampire game from the people who made The Council? DO you think it will be along the same lines in terms of gameplay or will it change things up more as The Council did for the genre already? Do you think this will link into a large universe for the publisher or will it be its own walled-off experience? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. When we learn more for this game in the Vampire: The Masquerade universe, we will update you here. Just be sure to keep coming back to see all of those updates.
