Spider-Man Launches Into Action With A Little More Gameplay

Spider-Man

We have a launch trailer for Spider-Man now and it brings with it some old and new gameplay to look at as we wait for Spider-Man to launch

We are getting ever so much closer to the launch of Spider-Man and it looks like we may be nearing the end of the new info and updates and heading more toward the marketing push to sell more copies of the game. There are still a few things left out there that Insomniac Games has yet to reveal, like the collector’s edition statue, but if we have it all up front there will be no big surprises. That is why we have the latest, and maybe last, trailer for Spider-Man to look at here today. The launch trailer at that even though the game still does not hit the PS4 until September 7th. Kind of a bold move there given the time we could have filled with more, but I am going to guess we will keep the rest as surprises along the way.

There is not much more to say about this new trailer for Spider-Man outside of it being filled with some old and a little new gameplay content to take in. The new footage is not much else to go on outside of seeing more the web-swinging tricks we found out we could do recently. Have a look and enjoy. Then wait the next few weeks to finally get your hands on the game.

Spider-Man — Gameplay Launch Trailer

Marvel’s Spider-Man features your favorite web-slinger in a story unlike any before it. Now a seasoned Super Hero, Peter Parker has been busy keeping crime off the streets as Spider-Man. Just as he’s ready to focus on life as Peter, a new villain threatens New York City. Faced with overwhelming odds and higher stakes, Spider-Man must rise up and be greater.

One last thing and going back to that collector’s edition of the game. It turns out that we will not be seeing what the full statue will look like before the game launches. Nor will we be expected to see it until a specific point in Spider-Man after we have brought it home. At least for those who have patience and can follow rules. It turns out that the bottom half of the statue contains a huge spoiler for the game's story and will even come covered up with instructions on when you are safe to unbox it from the manufacturer. Given how humans are, I expect to see the pictures and videos everywhere on day one, but it is fun to know that Insomniac Games wants to give us something cool but not spoil our experience. They really could have gone with a boring standard thing, but now the hype and excitement builds ever so much more. I am sure we will not be let down.

Are you fully ready for Spider-Man to launch in a few weeks or has the wait already killed you? Did you spot anything truly new in the gameplay there that we have not already known or did you just see different shots of the same gameplay? What do you think will be hidden in the statue coming with the collector’s edition of the game and do you think the internet will keep it hidden for as long as gamers will hope for? Let us have your thoughts down below and then feel free to discuss. If there is more to share for Spider-Man before and after launch, we will have it here. Just be sure to keep checking back in for all of it in due time.
