We Are On The Brink Of A New Civilization In The Story Of State Of Mind

State Of Mind

We have a new story trailer for State Of Mind and along with it has come the official release date for State Of Mind

It is story time again and this time it is all about State Of Mind. Not a specific state, but the new game that Daedalic Entertainment is putting out there on August 15th for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch. Maybe you remember it and maybe you do not. It has been a bit since it was back in the spotlight, but seeing as State Of Mind now has a set date in August for its release it makes sense to be right back here. I mean, they want to have the game sell and to sneak a release out there would not be the best way to do that. We all know that generally does not bode well for anything out there in today's world.

All of which builds perfectly into the story of State Of Mind and the other aspect we have to look at today. We have more of the official story for the game here as it looks like we are in the future and looking at the people of tomorrow more than the tech. It looks like humans are able to upload themselves into a giant program and create the next civilization of some sorts. It sounds like State Of Mind is taking a bit from the ideas of The Matrix here and a few other popular stories that revolve around that. That is at least if it is not like Surrogates more where we are the same person now, just in a mechanical body. Not that we have not seen that a few times already.

Have a look at the latest trailer for State Of Mind just below and then sit back and wait for August 15th to roll up on us. The game looks a bit intriguing, but I still want to know more before I dive into this world that could be all an illusion…

State Of Mind — Story Trailer

[State Of Mind is not] a game about the technology of tomorrow, but about tomorrow’s people. In the center of this narrative is the motif of separation and reunion. What happens, if the future creates fractures between body and mind? Between reality and constructs? Between biological and virtual ego?

What are you thinking about State Of Mind after all of that? Does it looks like a new twist on a used Sci-Fi trope or will it be just like all of the others? How do you think the game will actually handle when we do get to play it or will it be a playable movie and nothing more? Let us all know what you think down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. For more on State Of Mind, be sure to keep checking back in here. We will keep all of those updates flowing and you will be glad you did not miss out.
