Shenmue
The re-release date for Shenmue I & II has been set and you can currently pre-order the Shenmue bundle to get ready for the full release
The release date for the re-release of Shenmue I & II on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC has been set down now as August 21st. It also looks like with this announcement, SEGA has opened up pre-orders for this re-release of the game through all of the various options one would expect there to be on all of those platforms. All of which should be good news for all of those fans of the Shenmue franchise even though it does not look like it has been truly updated for the current generation platforms they will be coming to. I am sure that will not mater for those who are looking for the nostalgia of the titles.
To go along with the pre-orders for Shenmue I & II, it looks like there will be a bit of a bonus to go along with it all. At least for the physical version of the bundle as that will come with a double-sided poster for the game and reversable cover art for the case with original artwork. If that piques your interest for the Shenmue franchise here, you can take advantage of a 10% discount right now if you head out and pre-order it now. Not the biggest of bonuses, but if you are looking for this re-release, then you most likely are looking for just the game and not the extras.
Shenmue I & II — Pre-Order
From today, Shenmue I & II is available to pre-order digitally on PSN, Xbox Marketplace and Steam with a 10% discount ahead of its launch on August 21, 2018. Shenmue I & II is also available to pre-order now from SEGA approved digital retailers. The physical edition is available to pre-order from US and EMEA retailers and comes complete with a double-sided poster starring fan-favorite characters from the hit saga as well as reversible cover art featuring original artwork.
Since their original releases, Shenmue I & II have established a passionate following and are revered as one of gaming's greatest series of all time. These revolutionary masterpieces deliver a gripping story of retribution as Ryo Hazuki sets out to avenge his father's death and attempts to unravel the secrets behind a mysterious artifact known as the Dragon Mirror.
This is the definitive version of these all-time classics and will be the best Shenmue experience to date. The re-release will contain all-new modernized features including fully scalable screen resolution, choice of modern or classic control schemes, PC graphics options, an updated user interface and the option to enjoy either the original Japanese or English voiceovers.
