Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Is Revealed & Gets A Littler Darker

Tomb Raider

The reveal trailer for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider is here and it looks like we are going to see a darker Tomb Raider with this one

The day is here and we now have the first real reveal for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider to get us all amped for. Sure the game was officially announced by Eidos-Montréal a while back, but this is the first video reveal that Square Enix has for the public. I state it that way as it is only a pre-rendered video we have for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider while select few in a few select locations have had the true chance to give the current version of the game a whole. Given that it is still slated to release on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 14th it would be a bit safe to assume it is in a decent place to get a good preview.

Not much else for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider has been fully detailed, but we are going to be getting the traditional Collector's Edition for the game as well as a few other ways to pick it all up. That and that this will be the one game where Lara comes into the full mantle of a Tomb Raider. Not a huge shock, but it does seem that she is out to stop another Mayan apocalypse that is brewing. You do not get that exact feel from the following video, but it does show that we will need to make some serious and dark choices in the game. Not that we have not before, but it looks like it will take its toll here in this game. Unless it is all a fake out but everyone for now.

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider — The End of the Beginning

In Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, Lara must master a deadly jungle, overcome terrifying tombs, and persevere through her darkest hour. As she races to save the world from a Maya apocalypse, Lara will be forged into the Tomb Raider she is destined to be.

The star of the critically acclaimed 2013 Tomb Raider reboot and the award-winning Rise Of The Tomb Raider, Camilla Luddington, makes her return as Lara Croft with yet another stunning performance in Shadow Of The Tomb Raider.

Last night, Square Enix welcomed fans, community leaders, press, and industry influencers to events in Montreal, London, and Los Angeles so they could experience Lara Croft’s defining moment as she becomes the Tomb Raider.

Fans in the New York City area will be able to enjoy a Special Preview of Shadow Of The Tomb Raider at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival on Friday, April 27. This free event will start at 4 p.m. EST, and will take place inside of the BMCC Theater at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center. Join the creative team as they discuss the evolution of Lara Croft and share in the techniques, tools and inspiration behind the series. Panel attendees will be able to witness an exclusive extended gameplay demo for the upcoming Shadow Of The Tomb Raider game.

While we may not have had any real gameplay for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider here in the public space, we do have a load of new screenshots to look at for the game. It is not anything in motion, but it gives our first real look at the game. While none of this was not packaged up in the "reveal" event for us all is beyond me, but we do have it here for you. Hopefully, we will see some true gameplay for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider soon. Most likely out of E3 we will see a lot of real footage, but for now, this is all we have. Have a look at the screenshots and then get ready wait just a bit longer for some real substance.
