Dark Souls
The pre-order pages for Dark Souls: Remastered are ready to go and with them comes a few other updates for the Dark Souls franchise in general
Here is another good reminder that Dark Souls: Remastered is on its way and coming to our PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 25th. That reminder being that you can now pre-order this amazingly difficult title that FromSoftware put together for us and make sure you will be able to play it with all of those high-end visuals. Also a way for you to send more money the way of Namco and get a few things for Dark Souls: Remastered in the process. Or at least make sure you will be able to even have the game anymore when all is said and done, depending on the platform you are going with. Yes, I know that all sounds ominous and such.
The reason for that is that while pre-orders are open, since Dark Souls: Remastered is just the same game from before with all of the extras and shiny new polish on it, there is not much more to add. PS4 owners who pre-order can pick up a nice little theme for the game. Xbox One gamers will get the ability to pre-load it before launch. PC/Steam gamers will be able to get a discount if they already have the Dark Souls: Prepare To Die edition of the game. An edition that will no longer be available after May 9th. No longer available at least to purchase as the new remaster will be out, but original owners will still have access to it all. It is just being replaced going forward.
While none of that news is all too exciting, we do have some new footage of Dark Souls: Remastered from the PS4 Pro version of the game. It is more or less a new thing to look at to see how the game has been remastered so far. Just like the razzle-dazzle of the pre-order bonuses though, nothing to write home about. Have a look at it though and see if you want to dive back into Dark Souls with this new version and all of the pre-order options you may have.
Dark Souls: Remastered — Pre-Order Trailer
Dark Souls: Remastered is now available for digital pre-order and comes with some exclusivities. Players who digitally pre-order the game for PlayStation 4 will be rewarded with an exclusive theme whilst Xbox One players will be able to preload the game.
Steam players will have access to a 50% loyalty discount reward if they own a copy of Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition. The Steam version of Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition will no longer be purchasable from 9th May, 2018 but will still be playable for the owners.
Dark Souls: Remastered will be available 25th May, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Nintendo Switch version will be available later this summer. Digital pre-order pages are now available on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Store.
Did you expect there to be more for Dark Souls: Remastered at pre-order or is all of this just about right? Do you find it weird that the only real bonus out there for pre-order comes for the PS4 or if you already own the game? Will you be picking it back up to see how the new visuals will play out while dying constantly? Let us and the world know what you are thinking down in the comments and then discuss. For more on Dark Souls: Remastered, or the franchise in general, be sure to check back in here and often. We will keep all of the updates flowing out there as soon as we can.
