Jurassic World
New gameplay for Jurassic World Evolution is out there and it looks like there is a lot more to building our Jurassic World than many previously thought
Last week we were hit with the release date for Jurassic World Evolution as well as all of the pre-order goodies that would go along with it. Nothing truly stood out for now to pre-order the game before June 12th so far unless you want to get a few of those extra dinosaurs that Frontier Developments has put together for the game. That is of course until we had a chance to see the latest gameplay for Jurassic World Evolution and now we have a bit more to go on and get excited about. It was looking more and more like this was weird deviation of a Sim City game but now it looks like so much more. At least much more build upon the core gameplay of that title just all set in the realm of creating our own dinosaur amusement parks.
You can see the new twenty-plus minutes of gameplay for Jurassic World Evolution just below. It is what has been shown off to other media outlets and "content creators" at a few events so far. Thankfully, we do get to see how the basic world building and environmental design will work here in the game. It looks a lot like what could be done in many game engines to date all while evolving our own creations and keeping our guests happy. Given that we are placed in the job to control everything and micromanage it all, it does give some great difference from the other title used to build on the basics. How much fun that will be or if we will just let the game do its own thing is still yet to be seen.
It is interesting to see that in Jurassic World Evolution we will have the option to go "hands-on" with something that would normally be automated. In the video, we get to see how we can call out teams to tranquilize dinosaurs to move them from pen to pen. We also get to see how we can assume command and fly the helicopter and then be the one shooting the darts to put the dinosaurs down. This could just be a minor aspect put in there to mix up the gameplay a bit, but it would be cool to see if we can get down and dirty with everything in Jurassic World Evolution. I know I would love to be able to be part of the teams to go on these dig missions and also to hunt down rogue dinosaurs out there. I have a feeling that is only a dream, but we will see when the game launches.
