Smash Bros
It has been announced that the Super Smash Bros. franchise will be heading to the Switch this year and bringing some new things to Super Smash Bros. in general
If you were worried that the Nintendo Switch was never going to see a Super Smash Bros. title, then you can put those worries to rest. During the most recent Nintendo Direct presentation, the cat was let out of the bag that we would be getting a new title on the most recent console and that it would be coming at us this year. Yes, you did just read that. There will be a Switch addition to the Super Smash Bros. franchise and you will only have to wait eight months at most to get it. It could be sooner, but on the long end, that would be the wait. Unless there are delays and then that whole number line I drew gets skewed even more. Let us all hope that is not the case at the end of the day.
While this new Super Smash Bros. has been announced and given a nice little teaser, which you can see below, there is not much more in the way of details. It does look like Mario and Link are confirmed to be back in the mix. I did not think there would be any reason to doubt that. It also looks like Inkling from Splatoon will be back as well. Extra points on the weird fake out that they tried to do as well. You will see what I am talking about if you have not already just skipped down to the video we have below. Have a look and then get ready to wait for more updates to flow for Super Smash Bros.
Super Smash Bros. — Is Coming To Nintendo Switch!
During its latest Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo announced that the Super Smash Bros. franchise is coming to Nintendo Switch this year. The video also showcased more than a dozen upcoming games for both the Nintendo Switch system and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, with many of the featured games coming from third-party developers, including Square Enix, Capcom, Grasshopper Manufacture, From Software, and Ubisoft.
Are you truly shocked by the announcement of Super Smash Bros. for the Switch or is the excitement just building more? Do you think it will be mostly the same as other iterations of the franchise or will they take the chance to make it something new with the new system? What other characters are you hoping to see back in the mix or showing up for the first time? Give us all of those thoughts and discuss down in the comments. As we get more for Super Smash Bros., we will have it up on the site for you. All you have to do is stick around and keep checking back in to see it all.
