Call Of Duty
It has been officially announced that Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 is coming and it also looks like it will ‘revolutionize’ the Call Of Duty franchise
We all knew it was coming and now we have official word that Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 is going to be this year's installment into the franchise. Given that Treyarch gave us the last one three years ago and that is how Activision seems to cycle the developers on the franchise, it makes perfect sense that we are heading back into the Black Ops world. The interesting part of this announcement though is the fact that we will be getting this year's Call Of Duty title a bit earlier than normal as it is already locked in for an October 12th release date for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Sorry to those fans out there hoping for a Switch release as there has yet to be any word on if the game will coming over there at all.
Outside of that, there is not much more to have for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 as it looks like all of the other details are going to be locked up until May 17th when the powers that be will be hosting a community event to show the game off to the world. That is a bit of a stint to wait for any real solid information and it is made more difficult by the fact that there is also word in the small teaser and text that says this one will "revolutionize" the Call Of Duty franchise and that we should forget what we know already. Whatever that could truly mean is up to speculation for now, but it is something that they wanted us to know. Take it as you will for now.
Have a look at the small teaser we do have for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 just below. It does not do much other than show off the game's logo. A logo that has spawned some debate given that it looks like it wants to use Roman Numerals but does not go the traditional route with them. Using IIII is not unheard of to show off a 4 but the traditional is IV. Granted, IV would not have the same logo effect I am guessing that Treyarch is going for. That or it is one of the things we are supposed to forget that we already know…
