Far Cry 5’s Story Shows What God Gives, Man Can Never Take Away

Far Cry

More of Far Cry 5’s story is being detailed out in a new trailer and we have a look at Far Cry 5’s Season Pass that will hold some great things

We have had some fun looks at the story of Far Cry 5 so far, but now we get a much deeper look at the insanity that is going on in Hope County and why they all need us to help save the day. In the past we have heard and seen a lot of the work that Ubisoft had done to get the religious cult aspect feeling just right in the game as well as the environment. Up to now, it was a little 'iffy' for me on that side, but now that we have this new trailer to see, I think that Far Cry 5 is hitting the horrors and insanity on the head. At least based on how the latest trailer for the game has been cut. I am sure it will carry over when the game launches on March 27th and this makes me insanely more excited to finally get to dive into this world here.

You do not need to take my word on that though as you can see it just below. Stick around afterward though as we also have a few more things to dive into as well. Like what we can expect to get in the Season Pass for the game. That will all follow the trailer you are about to watch.

Far Cry 5 — Story Trailer

The Project at Eden’s Gate, a doomsday cult led by Joseph Seed, has taken over Hope County. You must spark the fires of resistance and bring the cult to justice.

As if the insanity of the above for Far Cry 5 was not enough, it looks like the Season pass will be adding in a lot more into the mix. There will be three large additions to the game after the launch in terms of the Season Pass. Each will take us into another weird scenario that looks to be outside of the norm for the game. Like traveling back in time to the Vietnam War to take on the Việt Cộng. Also placing us into multiple b-movie scenarios where we will have to take on hordes of the undead. Lastly, a trip to Mars where will have to fight the aliens that are out there. I am sure it will all tie into Far Cry 5 in some way, but it does look like Ubisoft is taking the insanity of the franchise and turning it up to eleven for the Season Pass. That or they ran out of ideas and just took the ideas from other FPS titles that seemed to work…

Far Cry 5 — Season Pass
  • Hours Of Darkness: Players will travel back in time to Vietnam to battle against Việt Cộng soldiers
  • Dead Living Zombies: Players will face hordes of zombies across multiple b-movie scenarios
  • Lost On Mars: Players will leave Earth behind to go toe-to-claws with Martian arachnids

But wait, there is more. Those who do pick up the Season Pass will get one more bit of insanity in the Far Cry franchise. You will also be getting Far Cry 3 remastered for the PS4 or Xbox One. All of the single-player content at least, but it will take us back into one of the acclaimed titles in the franchise and relive all of that madness. Now do you see why I kept using the word 'insanity' here? Hopefully you did. Nonetheless, it is part of the Season Pass and will have its own standalone release this Summer for those who do not want to go the Season Pass route. For those PC players, you will just be getting access to the full PC version of the game as it stands. You did not need a remaster anyways…

Far Cry 3 — Classic Edition: Announcement

Additionally, all Far Cry 5 Season Pass owners playing on consoles will receive the single-player content from another critically-acclaimed Far Cry series entry with Far Cry 3 Classic Edition, which will be available to season pass holders four weeks prior to launching as a standalone purchase in summer 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Far Cry 3 Classic Edition will let fans and newcomers to the series revisit Rook Island and encounter one of the franchise’s most notorious villains Vaas, who is brought to life by Michael Mando. As Jason Brody, players must explore the tropical island to find and save his friends, who are being held captive. PC players who purchase the season pass or Far Cry 5 Gold Edition will receive the full version of Far Cry 3.

Now that you have seen the story of Far Cry 5 a bit more, do you agree that it will show the horrors and insanity of cults out there? What do you think of the Season Pass so far and do you think it will be something truly unique or just grabbing at the famous tropes that FPS titles go with nowadays? Are you excited to see that Far Cry 3 is going to be part of the Season Pass or will you just be looking to get it this Summer on its own? Let us know down in the comments.
