Jurassic World
If the Jurassic World films are not enough for you, then get excited as Jurassic World Evolution has just been announced to launch alongside the film
We have another game that just received its announcement and that would be Jurassic World Evolution. Yes, we are getting a new game in the franchise here next year and it is coming to our PS4, Xbox One, and PC all around the same time that the next feature film drops. That makes this sound like a film tie-in to me and we all know how all of that goes. I am not saying that Jurassic World Evolution is going to fall directly into that design as many others have, but it does not sound like the best thing. Maybe Frontier Developments will gladly surprise us all. Nonetheless, we have the announcement and a fun little trailer to look at for the game to get all of us a bit more excited for it all.
It is worth noting that the following trailer for Jurassic World Evolution is all pre-rendered and not specifically gameplay, but we could extrapolate from what we see here to make a good assumption as to what the game will all be about. Unless they go the completely different path, it looks like Jurassic World Evolution could be a strategy/world simulator of sorts. Think Sim City except that no matter what you do, you will keep having all of the catastrophic failures. We will be bioengineering new breeds of dinosaurs and building all the attractions in the game and we are only gamers who love to watch everything plummet into chaos after all. Just me?
Have a look at the announcement for Jurassic World Evolution here and see what is causing all of the stir here. Then get ready to wait until the Summer of 2018 to finally see how it is and if it is a good standalone title or just something to cash in the next film in the series. I am hoping for the prior but have a feeling we are going to get the latter…
Jurassic World Evolution — Announcement
Jurassic World Evolution evolves players’ relationship with the Jurassic World film franchise, placing them in control of operations on the legendary island of Isla Nublar and the surrounding islands of the Muertes Archipelago. Players will build their own Jurassic World as they bioengineer new dinosaur breeds and construct attractions, containment and research facilities. Every choice leads to a different path and spectacular challenges arise when ‘life finds a way.’
The game is scheduled to release next summer and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be in theaters June 2018.
