The release date for Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds has been set and now we can get ready for this new Horizon Zero Dawn expansion just before the holidays
We all had a nice and small taste for Horizon Zero Dawn's upcoming expansion, The Frozen Wilds back at E3 when it was all first shown off. If you missed it, I've included the trailer that was shown off for it to let us all know that this PS4 game was getting a nice, new, big expansion. The only drawback was that the 'when' was never set down which had a lot of us Horizon Zero Dawn fans out there wondering when we can get our hands on it and explore the new locales and such. Guerrilla Games heard all that I guess, or it was just time to announce it, but The Frozen Wilds will now be coming on November 7th for all of those fans out there for the game.
Sadly, this is where all of the big updates for this Horizon Zero Dawn expansion end as nothing else has been touched on or given out there. Outside of being able to pre-order this expansion for the game to get an "exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn avatar" for your PSN account, nothing more has been set. All we know is that we will be in the Northern area of the game's map that was not accessible before and that we will have even more of Aloy's story to play out up there. Maybe new machines as well, but that may be hoping for just a little too much at this point. Nonetheless, we will be getting it here in a very short time and hopefully it is large enough to explain the long gap between the game's release and this new expansion. We will see though…
Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds — E3 2017
Back in June, we announced an expansion for Horizon Zero Dawn called The Frozen Wilds. Set in icy territories to the north, this new chapter of Aloy’s journey adds a new area to explore, new mysteries to uncover and new, highly lethal machines to take on.
Today, we’re happy to share that the release date for Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds is November 7th, 2017.

What are your thoughts on Horizon Zero Dawn's new expansion that is coming this November? Do you think that it will be just another chunk of similar missions we had in the core game with a new story or will Guerrilla Games have taken then time to craft some extra features that weren't in the core game before?
