The Nazi Zombies mode for Call Of Duty: WWII was fully shown off at SDCC and a whole lot of new Call Of Duty: WWII information came with it
Unless you've been hiding under a rock and skipped all of the Call Of Duty: WWII news from last week, then you most likely saw the officially announcement of the Nazi Zombies mode that will be coming to the game when it launches on November 3rd. The trailer was leaked and Sledgehammer Games asked everyone to wait for the official reveal. Then Activision started to tease out the voices and likenesses for the mode all to lead up to the official panel during SDCC. Of course, not many people held to the wishes there and "jumped to" to see the new version of this mode for Call Of Duty: WWII. Good for you and you saw the trailer first. But you also seemed to miss out on a whole lot that was also shown off and discussed at the official reveal for it all.

Call Of Duty: WWII Nazi Zombies — Reveal Trailer
Call Of Duty: WWII – Nazi Zombies is a terrifying, new zombies cooperative experience that transports players into a labyrinth of chilling occult Nazi zombies experiments, and monstrous creations set mythically in World War II. The story unfolds as an international team peels back the vile layers of a malevolent plot masterminded by the Axis powers to harness unimaginable occult forces and create an invincible undead army. Featuring voices and likenesses, the global cast features David Tennant (Dr. Who, Jessica Jones), Elodie Yung (G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Daredevil), Katheryn Winnick (Vikings, The Dark Tower), Udo Kier (Blade, Melancholia), and Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction, Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation).
So you may have noticed that the trailer here make this version of Zombies look a bit more terrifying than we've seen in past Call Of Duty titles that had the mode. Some of them have been a bit goofier and others a bit more generic. This one is being helmed by minds behind the Dead Space franchise and it can be seen well here as Sledgehammer Games is aiming to make this more than just a Zombie shooting gallery. It will still be closer to the mode that many have come to love in their Call Of Duty titles, but with more focus on the horror and terror than there has been before. The character models here are truly a sign of it all and I kind of wish it wouldn't just be a mini-mode for the game and that Activision would just green-light a full AAA title in this mode.
Anyways, it looks like in Call Of Duty: WWII we are going to be losing the gumball and candy upgrades are gone. They didn't go into how these perks and little extras are going to be coming back, but it won't be anything as goofy as that. It will be fitting to the new mode is all was mentioned. Also the weapon upgrades and changes will be in there, but we won't be going up to weapon outlines or weird machines as we have in other Call Of Duty titles. Again, this didn't get much more detail as they were not ready to discuss it all just yet, but we should know that it will be better fitting and not just something to be there to push a mechanic. It sounds like all of the changes will be there to make the whole mode a bit more immersive than we've seen and had before.
In terms of story, the full thing is being held back until Call Of Duty: WWII launches, but what is known is that it is not part of the Zombies mode story and setting that has been set up. Sledgehammer is doing their own thing and not linking in at all, outside of having an Evil Nazi doctor experimenting and bringing the dead and other monstrosities back to life. From there we take on the role of one of the four heroes that were sent into the recover all of the Nazi Plunder and looted artwork. They just stumble into the wrong part of the world at the wrong time and then need to save us all from the horrors being unleashed. Gods I wish this was more than just a side mode after hearing and seeing all of this. I guess I'll take what we can get here though…
