Agents Of Mayhem
A new trailer for Agents Of Mayhem has been released to introduce us further to the Agents Of Mayhem characters that we've already met once
Here we go with some more for Agents Of Mayhem and this time for those who have not been able to get all the ins and outs since E3 last year, we get a solid look at three of the characters in the game that we've seen before. Don't think these are the only characters coming to the game as I know that Volition has many others in the works and already there for us, but these seem to be the big ones and the first three recruited into the organization in the game's lore. We still have plenty of time to get to know the rest of the characters for Agents Of Mayhem as we wait for August 15th to roll around and the game hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but here we go with what Deep Silver wants us to see for now. Here we go with the Franchise Force.
That is the name that has been given to this little cadre of characters for Agents Of Mayhem. It seems a little weird to have that as they are all supposed to be part of M.A.Y.H.E.M. for other reasons, but this is how it lays for now. None the less, we do get to have a bit more of the background on each of these members here and kind of why they were recruited into the agency. It is good to note that Agents Of Mayhem is kind of in the same vein as Saints Row so don't be too surprised to find out that one of the characters here used to be, or still kind of is, an adult film star when not out kicking ass and taking names. What else would expect from a character named Hollywood though? Have a look.
Agents Of Mayhem — Franchise Force
As the "Face of Mayhem", Hollywood thinks of the agency as a franchise which needs to be marketed. With Fortune and Hardtack making up some of the first recruited agents, it only seemed natural the three of them should be the driving “force” behind that “franchise”. Thus Franchise Force was born! Of course, it also helps their combat capabilities complement each other well since Fortune is swift and damaging, Hardtack is tough and deadly at close range, and Hollywood is a good mix of the other two.
With the teleport technology capability of Mayhem, agents in your squad are able to instantly teleport into and out of combat. This allows on-the-fly swapping of agents in the field, allowing one to heal while another takes their place, or allowing the best agent for a particular fight or task in your squad of three to replace the currently active one.
As I mentioned, these are only three of the characters that will be in Agents Of Mayhem unless Volition is changing things. Back when I was able to play the game after its announcement there was talk about there being twelve different characters that we can place in our teams while only be able to swap between three as a time when the mission starts. I played with these three and one more for Agents Of Mayhem and had a blast with it even without the great humor and world being set up. As long as it stays the same, it truly feels like they are going gameplay first and then tagging on the humor and other fun items afterwards. Just as a great game should be. Hopefully we'll see here next month at E3 that nothing has changed and we'll have another great title in Deep Silver's catalog.
What are your thoughts on Agents Of Mayhem so far and what do you think of the characters/world being built here? Do you think that it is weird to have all the focus on these three still after a year even though there was talk and a showing of more than these three? Do you agree that it looks like the gameplay will be the bigger focus with the humor as a second thought or will it be trying to bank all on the humor? Let us know down in the comments and then discuss. For more on Agents Of Mayhem, be sure to stick around here on the site as we will have everything that is out there for the game. Don't miss out on a single thing.
