Injustice 2
Another Injustice 2 Shattered Alliance trailer is here and now we have a good look at Brainiac in Injustice 2 as well as the ‘big bad’ of the game
I've been asking for it since he was first shown in Injustice 2 and now it looks like NetherRealm Studios has opted to give me what I want. I've been wanting to see more of Brainiac and just how his role will play out in the game's story and now it looks like we have it. The fifth part of the Shattered Alliance series of trailers for Injustice 2 has just dropped and now we have not only a good look at Brainiac in motion, but we also have a feeling of just how all of these splintered factions will play out. As I've been assuming it looks like he is going to be the glue that holds the rest of the roster together, but that is just my hopeful thinking based on what we have here.
The bigger part of this new trailer for Injustice 2 though is the fact that we get to see Brainiac in action and looking like he is destroying all of his opponents in the matches. Of course that is just the sizzle of the video and he'll be more balanced for play, but they had to make him look like a huge force. He is in all other forms and in the story he looks like he is on the verge of destroying it all but gameplay will prevail for sure and he'll be no better than the player controlling him. Unless this is some kind of game ending character that will be in our arsenal for those poor fighters to stand a chance against the pros. Highly doubtful though.
Injustice 2 — Shattered Alliances Part 5
Shattered Alliances Part 5 revealed — No remorse, no prisoners, no survivors… Brainiac has arrived.
As I mentioned above, it looks like Brainiac will be showing up in Injustice 2's story just in time to bring everyone together as the above trailer suggests. Given that we've seen all of the other factions splintered so far in the other trailers NetherRealm Studios has given us, it makes sense. More so when you see that members of all different factions are teaming up, including Batman and Superman, to fight Brainiac. Pretty much how I assumed from the start when the character was teased, but now it looks confirmed. Given that it's been claimed that Injustice 2 will have one of the team's longest stories to date I'd think it safe to confirm that this is about the mid-point in said story after the factions have had a chance to shine. I guess we'll know for sure on May 16th though.
How do you feel about Brainiac's arrival in Injustice 2 as we see here? Do you agree that it is all sizzle to make him look over powered or do you think that the team will give us an OP character for poor players to balance the scales? Do you agree that the pacing of the story will have the character fully entered by the mid-point or will it be sooner or later? Let us know down in the comments and then discuss. For more on Injustice 2 though, keep checking into the site here. We'll keep all of the new videos and trailers rolling out to you as we march on to the launch date.
