Final Fantasy XV
New areas for Final Fantasy XV are opening up as another Final Fantasy XV patch is out with free content before the paid DLC
I hope you are ready to dive back into Final Fantasy XV and give that infamous Chapter 13 another a play through. If not, it is okay but you'll be missing out on a few things as Square Enix has released a new update for the game that brings us a different path to take and shake up what many thought was a weird bit to the game's progression. Ask anyone, myself included, things went rather "off" for Final Fantasy XV at that point in the game and now it looks like there is going to be a bit of a fix to it. All of this due to the new bit of DLC for the game coming out tomorrow in the way of Episode Gladiolus. That's the extra paid bit that features the character the name mentions a bit.
Of course, there is more to this patch for Final Fantasy XV but that is definitely the bigger part as it looks like everyone will get a chance to play and see what Ignis and Gladio were doing during those events. It also looks like a bit of a taste to the new gameplay the DLC will bring for the character. That and some new enhancements for other gameplay elements like the Ring magic and what looks like traveling around on the Chocobo. At least that can all be seen in the trailer for this patch and update just below. I've never tried to get to the locations shown so it may have been possible before in Final Fantasy XV but now it will be a little easier for the common gamer.
Final Fantasy XV — March Update
- Addition of Chapter 13, Verse 2 (alternate route featuring Gladiolus)
- Enhancement of Arcana spells (Alterna, Holy, Death)
- Announcement of winning snapshots from first photo contest (viewable at Takka’s Pit Stop in Hammerhead)
- Temporary conclusion of Timed Quests (will resume at a later date)
- Addition of two pieces from “Episode Gladiolus” downloadable content to music player tracklist
- Addition of compatibility with “Episode Gladiolus” downloadable content
- Various gameplay enhancements
- Various bug fixes
- Updated saves will not work on former versions of the game
On top of all of that, it looks like some of the Timed Quests are now shut down in Final Fantasy XV and we are getting an in-game update on the photo contest that Square Enix ran a little while back. The latter seems like an amazing little thing to me as it gives fans a chance to get their shots in the game and not on some random forum board or single use photo gallery that will be forgotten quickly. It just adds another thing into the Final Fantasy XV experience to search out and have a look at. Just as a good patch or update should be when it comes on the free side. All while still promoting the paid DLC to come.
Are you glad to see that Final Fantasy XV's thirteenth chapter will be getting a change-up of sorts or did it not bother you that much? Do you see this as a free way to try and entice more gamers to pick up the Season Pass or the DLC in general? How do you feel about them adding in all of the contest stuff into the game as opposed to posting it on some message board online? Let us know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss as you wish. As Final Fantasy XV evolves and changes over the coming months, we will have all the information here. Be sure to stay locked into the site here to be sure to know it all.
