Horizon Zero Dawn
It has been announced that Horizon Zero Dawn has officially gone gold and it looks like the first Horizon Zero Dawn collector's edition has been unboxed
There is no backing out now as Horizon Zero Dawn has been hit with the wonderful Gold Status that we love to hear about for our video games. All of which generally happens about a month out from launch and such is the case here as Guerrilla Games has given us all the thumbs up that the game is gold and getting printed to disks as you read this. Well at least that is the thought as I am sure that there are other things that have to happen or could be going on for Horizon Zero Dawn at this exact moment but none the less this PS4 exclusive will not be seeing further delays. Unless for some off reason the manufacturing companies have issues but then that won't be on the game getting done and just the physical medium getting out to those who don't want to go digital.
To go along with this news, Guerrilla also took to show us all just what will be in the Horizon Zero Dawn collector's edition if that happens to be your jam for this game. We've already had the details for this as far back as E3 last year, but that was only in text and in a few images for it. Now we get to see the whole thing get unpacked for us as well as a look at some of the extra detail that went into Aloy for the special statue that will be boxed in here. Not only that but it also looks like the box art is different here and the guys going into the reasons besides it being the Steelbook and such. You'll see what I mean if you take a look at the following video for yourself.
Horizon Zero Dawn — Collector's Edition First Unboxing
- 9" Aloy Statue
- Steelbook Case
- 'The Art Of Horison Zero Dawn' Art Book
- PS4 Theme
- Carja Storm Ranger Armor — Fashioned by the proud, ceremonial Carja tribe, this special armor has been crafted with an eye for showy appearance.
- Carja Striker Bow — The Carja defend their great Sundom with stone fortifications and military might. This finely-made bow, fit for a captain's hand, puts additional stopping power behind every arrow fired.
- Carja Trader Pack — Rare and precious Machine parts are always in demand on the metal markets of the Carja Sundom.
- Banuk Trailblazer Armor — A sturdy outfit made by the nomadic Banuk tribe, hunters, and shamans from the harsh northern territories.
- Banuk Culling Bow — The Banuk claim a spiritual understanding of the Machines, and put their harvests of Machine parts to many uses.
- Banuk Traveller Pack — Though rarely encountered, Banuk explorers have left their intricate tribal marks across the breadth of the known world.
- Nora Keeper Pack — The Nora are extraordinarily skilled and inventive at using machine components in their own devices.
- Nora Machine Trapper Pack — Even the most experienced Nora hunter never goes into the wild unprepared.
It is nice to finally see more than just the images of this collector's edition and I do agree that the statue here is rather impressive. At this time though it looks like our options to still pre-order this version of Horizon Zero Dawn are still limited but you can find it for $199.99 USD if you look around a bit. I'm guessing that we'll see more options here in the coming week to really ramp up the excitement here and also after Guerrilla Games can confirm that there will be enough printed to get this version out there to everyone who wants one. Both options seems right and this does look rather epic as one would expect for Horizon Zero Dawn here.
