Prey Has A Release Date For Us To Set Our Eyes On Now

The release date for Prey has been set and we also have a nice new look at Prey's gameplay as we wait for May to inch ever so closer

The date has been set for Prey now and it looks like we can add another video game into the mix of things in May now. Yep, it looks like Arkane Studios will be wrapping up everything to get the game out to us on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 5th here. That seems to be a nice date range for so many other video games out there and now Prey joins the ranks. Then we can see just how the "reboot" of the IP will pan out for Bethesda and this fairly successful developer they have tasked with it all. Not to say that what we have already seen for Prey hasn't already been impressive on its own of course.

In addition to the news of the release date for Prey, we also have some new gameplay to gaze upon for the game as we now set out for the long wait until we will finally see the game in action in our homes. Just as they have been in the past, it shows off a lot of the questions about the self and also what looks like things that will keep us asking if this was self-induced or something else that triggered it all. Also if our reality is truly what we think it is in Prey. I guess that is kind of the core of it all anyway so it makes sense. But here we get to see it a bit more in action.

Prey — Gameplay Trailer #2

An alien-infested space station. Badass weapons and powers. And… Yu. Fight your way through the deadly Typhon aliens as Morgan Yu while unraveling the mysteries behind the infestation – and your own identity – in this sci-fi thriller from Arkane Studios. The latest gameplay trailer ratchets up the tension while revealing a little more about the central conflict in Prey.

Prey will be available on May 5, 2017, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Of course with all of this release date news for Prey there are already the pre-order bonuses for those looking to pay for the game before it launches. Pre-ordering will score you the Cosmonaut Shotgun Pack for the game which will give you access to the Morgan Yu’s family heirloom Margrave shotgun and tools to fight threats aboard Talos I including: three Neuromods players can spend to acquire new abilities, two Medkits, a Fabrication plan to create the Shotgun and Ammo, a starter kit for building tools and weapons, and a unique upgrade to help players preserve their limited resources. All kinds of goodies if you are willing to part with the cash before May 5th and all.

Are you glad to see that you have a date to look forward to for Prey or is it still too far out for you? Do you think that things will be even less as they seem here in the game or is this new gameplay just forcing us to go down a different logic path than we should be? Do you think the pre-order bonuses here are enough to get you to separate from your cash or will you need more? Let us know down in the comments and then discuss. For more on Prey though, be sure to stick here on the site as we'll keep the news and updates flowing as they come out to us.
